A Suggestion

We don’t need nor want a dungeon finder. Use the LFG tool instead, it also works well with randoms and other unorganized people.
What you are suggesting is in essence the same as the dungeon finder we know and hate from WoW.

I can’t stand guilds and I will explain why. I like to play at my own pace. Like in real life, I don’t really get along with others, so joining a guild for me just never works. I’ve dropped all the other mmo’s I was playing because of my inability to play well with others.
I’m not sure an MMO is exactly a good choice for you then….there’s lots of single player games out of there. One of the biggest features of an MMO is playing with, against or alongside other people.

Well that isn’t true. I already made the point that GW2 is very solo friendly. I also read that 65% of mmo players like to be on their own which is why mmo’s are becoming very solo friendly, like GW2.
Also I didn’t say I didn’t like playing with other people, I said I don’t do well in guilds. The point of an mmo is to play with others. You don’t necessarily have to be part of an organized group to play with others.
I clearly stated, I like being able to roam around freely and run into things to do with other random people. What I do not like is being a part of a guild where people constantly argue and kick one another because a player isn’t meeting, what they feel, is to their standards.
So, this particular MMO is for me obviously.
As far as the WoW comment, I can’t speak on it since I haven’t played it. I will say this however. I didn’t say anything about a dungeon finder. I said it would be nice to simply roam into a dungeon on your own and run into stuff to do like you can clearly do in the open world.
I don’t know of any other mmo where you can do that and since GW2 has gone in a different direction than your average mmo, I made the suggestion.

This guy sounds like an elitist. He is one of the main reasons I hate joining guilds.

There are people out there who do solo dungeons. There are some dungeons that do require multiple people (Crucible of Eternity comes to mind). It’s harder as the content was balanced against a group of five people doing the dungeon, but it’s doable.
You do not have to have a group for most dungeons if you have enough skill.

Thanks for that information. Appreciated.
The reason you can’t do this is because you’d have to redo all dungeons and fractals. These aren’t scaling events. They’re balanced for a party of five.
If 10 people went into one, it would be like it wasnt’ there at all. They could easily run through it.
Instanced encounters like that are made for organized, or at least semi-organized groups.

Agreed, which is why I would change it to make it possible. I would scale the dungeon encounters based on the amount of players that are present like they do in the open world.
Again, this is only a suggestion, we all know this would never go down.
