There’s something to show for a community that cares. Over the course of having made this thread on 2RP, I’ve found something incredibly touching, something that has restored my faith in humanity. That people will actually stop looking at what they can’t give, and look at what they can.
GW2RP.com is a website for the Roleplayers of Guild Wars 2. We’ve voiced our opinions a few times on this thread (Salma, Chairs, Scarlet), . . .but for the most part we’re fairly quiet. I’m not here to complain, or bring complaints, I’m here to show that despite everything that we as players kick and scream about, despite the hatred in map chat, or the trolling in PvP — There’s genuine kindness out there.
The thread started off fairly simple:
List the things you’d like to have, or that your characters would like to have! . . .What wasn’t expected was how well received it would be, and how far players would go out of their way. People have been gifting things like weapons (up to 70g worth!), t6 materials for legendaries, armor (TP and Gemstore), mini’s and so much more. I, myself, received Vision of the Mists (which is an item usually between 230-250g), and much more.
Wintersday is one holiday that, no matter what your beliefs are in real life, you can come together and celebrate this one in game. So thank you ArenaNet, for making something that brings players together, and this Wintersday season? Thank you to everyone who spends some time thinking about others, instead of themselves.
