In my opinion the playerbase is so divided in every single game format that it doesnt even matter what they want. The devs go back and forth between catering to a certain group and going over the top to allow everyone to have everything.

Anytime any accomplishment is added its very quickly made accessible to everyone. Being a top PVP, being a top raider, being a top anything should be rewarded. PVErs complaining about PVPers getting PVP achievements…? I get this game is as casual as it gets but there is a difference between being a casual game and handing everything you should work for to everyone on a friggin silver platter.
This game has bled out all its depth due to playing this constant game of who do we cater to roulette. There is no transparency with the player base, no follow through, no playbase testing…. like there is a reason PTR’s exist in every MMO since the dawn of time, there is too much back peddling and there is a pretty obvious lack of a real plan.

If you want something like shiny wings from one game mode don’t make it a grind make it something of value. If you want a cosmetic that is only available to one game mode well then put in the effort to earn it? If you want achievements from PVP learn PVP or accept its something you cant have.

And end rant.

Idk i feel stuff like the pvp backpiece the handled well. Its a gold sink sure but you need to be engaged with pvp and win (at least some games) which i can apreciate. On the other hand i agree with the idea that players feeling entitled to have access to everything and if something is in a part of the game that they dont enjoy then they should complain is bad for any game.

Just looking at it from balance’s prespective PTR servers make huge sense and they should highly consider adding them as they wont take everything from the game, only make it more enjoyable.

But yes i believe that there should be stuff you gotta get into to be able to get what youw ant from it. Ppl complaining that the title the best pvper in a continent gets should not have Ap because they cant get it only hurts the game. It sure as hell should have ap, hell it should even have 100 ap for number 1 title considering how much better than the base player base ppl like that are. This is one of the reason i really like how raids work.

I should be able to get god of pvp title in pve, why am i forced to pvp to get something so prestigious????/sarcasm

Seriously though, that’s how i read the posts from all the entitled people who cry about certain things locked behind certain game modes. Every game i’ve ever played has these things and it makes the game better imo, it gives incentives to actually play those modes.

I mean even something as old as runescape has always locked certain best in slot gear behind the hardest new bosses they come out with.

Wow does it as well and Imo, there’s nothing wrong with that.

If you support game modes locking certain content , then you must support all game modes and not just the ones you like doing.
So for example how many people would support having to do every jumping puzzle in the game in order to get some hi level item?

I wouldnt mind that a bit if it gave me 100 ap a title or an asc backpack skin or w/e as a reward for exploring and completing every jp. They kinda did that with the tablet in ember bay and ppl complained. Thats what anet should get over and say “no if you want something you gotta go with it the whole way”
