I was wondering why my monthly acheivement progress was stuck, and then i noticed….crafting, i dont like crafting, I dont craft, I wont craft, its not my thing
But its super anoying that im stuck at 3/4 lol.

Why cant monthly acheivements be broken into sections, pvp is already seperate.

So why not have something like
pvp
dungeons
pve
crafting/harvesting.

OR

make it a complete 3 of 4 type thing like dailies are complete 1.

Anyways i see no reason why it cant be more accesable to different peoples play styles.

You’re not stuck at 3/4. You can have it in 2 minutes if only you wanted it.

You clearly don’t want the monthly.

Listen … crafting was the easiest part of this monthly. And by easy, I really mean rediculously easy. It costs less than 20s from TP prices, and can be done with barely 50 weaponsmithing. If that’s too much for you, indeed you really don’t want the laurels.

So I really wonder how you come to the conclusion that you’re somehow stuck while clearly you’re not. This blockade is entirely self inflicted but not really there.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

Ah hostility, why ? I have no desire to start at 1 and go to 50, i dont have the resources nor the desire to grind, because i dont enjoy it, so why should i ? Im fine accepting I wont complete the monthly acheivement however I figured I would post here and see what others think.
If the best you can come up with is durr just craft cause thats just the way it is…then carry on and flame away.

As i said there is no reason it cant be broken into sections, and despite your OMG CRAFTING IS AWESOME mentality that im sure is swimming around your little brain, a good trade market has a mix of players that craft and dont craft, those that sell there resources those that buy, those that sell there gear and those that buy it.

Its a necessary part and therefor should be considered in game design.

if I were you I would just do it… it is so easy and fast. And really cost nearly nothing. I understand you do not like crafting but you could give it a shot

On the other part, I think Crafting is considered as PvE content. That is why it is part of the monthly.

The hostility you seem to read is the mere impossibility to write down a response to your “problem” in a clean and respectable manner. There is no problem, which is the only thing I can say. The only thing blocking your completion is you refusing to craft for two minutes. That’s a very personal statement, but it is impossible to say that without sounding hostile. I’m sorry for that, but some things are exactly what they are. You have a mental lock on crafting preventing you from getting 10 laurels.

As stated by the devs: _Monthlies are intended as a mid term goal for people who want to put a bit more effort into the game. _
You don’t want to put in the effort. That’s no problem, but the consequence is that you don’t want the 10 laurels you could get in the time it took for you to write your OP.

Whether or not crafting is awesome is irrelevant. I don’t consider it the best part of the game myself. I will let your blatant insult about my “little brain” slide because I’ll try to be the mature guy here. I don’t usually craft myself, but doing 10 or 100 crafts for a laurel is not beyond me. I want the laurels and I am prepared to do what’s required. You’re not, but that merely means you don’t want the laurels.

The march monthly is incredibly easy, and the crafting part is the easiest out of the 4 requirements. Again, whether you like crafting or not, you’re 2 minutes away from 10 laurels. It is up to you to decide whether or not you want to “grind” for two minutes.

I’m all for varying up the monthly, and complaints about WvW and FotM were valid to say the least. Complaints about spending 2 minutes on crafting are not.

This is the first month I will get a monthly and in this month I did not have internet for 3 weeks due to moving house.
I didn’t get the previous monthlies because I don’t do dungeons or PvP- my choice entirely.
Complaining about a crafting monthly is just 0-0
It is even useful- I crafted a trinket set for one of my alts- boom- done.
To say that your progress is being blocked is a bit bizarre tbh.

I am not opposed to having a choice of monthlies like we do daylies but it is such an optional thing that I don’t understand why it is such a big deal to you.

It is also an achievement, which means that you have to do it to get the reward.
So if you want the laurels- go craft. If you hate crafting so much then leave it and see what your options are next month.

I completely fail to see how you can apply the word grind to crafting a few items.

I take it you didn’t complain when you had to get 50 kills in WvW all those months, huh?

The fact is, anything in the game is fair game for a daily. It takes considerably longer to get 50 kills in WvW than it does to get this crafting daily.

Mental block is a mental block. As pointed out, the time it took you to write the OP is probably as long as the crafting daily actually takes. It’s really a matter of minutes.

If that’s too hard/too much for you to do, don’t do it. The monthly will be here next month.

You don’t want to complete your daily because spending such a tiny bit of money (like what, 20s?) is such a big deal, and especially since it gives it all back to you at the end anyway right?

Geez, even if I really hated crafting, I wouldn’t mind taking 5 minutes out of my way to gather the materials and just complete it for a reward worth a few gold.

Really, just level a crafting skill to 50 and get the monthly.

You are being silly missing out on 50s, 10 laurels, 10 karma jugs and 10 mystic coins just because you stubbornly refuse to do even the tinest bit of crafting…

Less then a hour and you would have your monthly…

You still wouldn’t be a crafter, cause 50 in a crafting skill is neither here or there. Also, it could well be in future monthlys so bite the bullet now and be sorted for the future…

I do completely agree with you, that it should move to 4/7 tasks to get your monthly. If there is 1 you can’t do, as of now your up a creek with out a paddle…
