So daily is now worth a drop of Karma, the same luck as salvaging a blue and a basically worthless laural. But you do get a Mystic coin which after say 50 days you can use it to make an increasingly worthless weapon. Nice. I have never felt less motivated to bother

Laurels are the main element in the reward system(s) right now. It’s the driver behind the gear grind of vertical progression. However, I’m very glad I had access to lots of Karma leveling alts and getting them geared, etc. I wouldn’t want to go through that or a legendary grind with current karma rewards.
