I’d recommend making invisible bags as a primary measure. The craft formula is basically the same as the normal bag, but you add in the appropriate dust.

I’d prefer a “reserved spot” for certain items that I equip/un-equip.
For example, I’ll occasionally equip dagger vs sword vs pistol and it would be great if they always went to a specific location in my inventory when I un-equip them.

Bound weapons can’t be sold on the TP …
If you double click the weapon in your inventory you want to equip, the weapon it replaces will go in the same inventory slot, as long as it’s a similarly handed weapon (i.e. one/two handed). This way either weapon will always stay in the same spot in your inventory safe bag.
The real problem is when you equip one two-handed weapon (e.g. staff) that un-equip’s two single handed weapons (e.g. daggers). I always have to search my inventory for the second dagger.

I know it’s something ANet wants to do, but I wonder when they’ll find the time for a huge QoL improvement like this.

As you know, professions can use more than one type of weapon. I don’t soulbound everything in case I happen to find something better before I decide to use that weapon.
For example, on my warrior, I have a rifle and a greatsword. I’m using greatsword at the moment and later if I’m bored I might switch to the rifle.
But, look! A better rifle dropped, yay I can TP the weaker rifle since I haven’t soulbound it yet.
Obviously this is less of an issue when my character is lvl 80 and using exotic stuff, heading into ascended territory. But I also have 8 other characters, not all are at lvl 80s yet.

I would love this too. Especially when switching from two weapons to a two handed weapon. One swaps with the two handed while the other goes to the first available free spot which is frequently my backpack.

Off-hand weapons now go in your bags beside your main-hand weapon when swapping to a two-handed weapon.
May be helpful for some.

Fantastic! Always had to bring up my inventory, scroll down to the invisible bag of weapons and first take off the off one of weapons manually.
