Guild Wars 2

I’ve played my share of tabletops so I know how to behave in-character. And I have seen certain MMOs that apparently have RP servers in them. In the case of this game, I only know it’s either TC or Piken that caters to the RPer. But exactly how does RP work in this game? I’d like to know the basics, if that’s alright.

Basically, think IRC chat type RP, but slower. Expect a short conversation to last half-an-hour, and a complex scene to have to be done in several parts because someone invariably has to log off to walk the dog / have dinner / go to bed because they’re at school or work tomorrow. There is no emotive expression, so it is more like writing a book with several co-authors, but much much slower.

If you have never IRC RPd, and are used only to TTRP, don’t bother. It WILL bore you.

BTW, I used to V:TM both TT and IRC :p I still have an official Ventrue pin badge round somewhere.
