I had a previous post which seems to have disappeared with no reply or explanation, and that was; I am still associated with my old server 4 months later, I lost a guild bank when moving to Deso from Aurora Glade, and I lost a lv 400 Jeweller on my toon that had 3 crafts, and if I buy a additional crafting license, can guarantee that that would have to be redone anyway. (I have 10 toons, so any one of them could start new craft, but that’s not the point, previously 1 character could have all crafting disciplines).
When I started playing, my first character was a ranger, which I did 100% map completion on with lower grade weapons, armour or trinket’s that I currently have.
Their have been so many changes to game play, that now with Ascended Gear rings, trinkets, armour, I cannot do half of what I did on pre ascended armour and weapons, with pre ascended trinkets. The drops have become really bad, meaning I would have to spend more money to buy mats, which puts money in your pocket, but does not indicate the time and effort I spend to try obtain these through normal game play.
The lv 1-15 maps where people start have NPC’s that regenerate 10 seconds after you killed them, and not 1 but you confronted with 5 NPC’s making it hard to try complete each section, or trying to level a new character. I really feel sorry for the new players starting out with minimal funds to purchase armour, weapons and trinkets. The cost to kit out 1 character has skyrocketed in the last 3 months. Skills only kick in at lev 30, and most don’t belong to guilds when starting out, making it difficult in their first experiences of playing.
Their are many positives in the game including the Mega servers, which means maps always have characters on them, but doesn’t guarantee anyone will assist with a skill point as most players doing low level maps are also starting out and don’t have gear or skills to assist, but the drawbacks of these servers are overflows and lag which still exists.
I am one of those people that believe in spending money in the game to support it, but after buying some BL chests, I am sitting with 7 Royal Passes, 11 instant repair canisters, which now costs nothing, and are these passes really needed, as the Divinity Reach event is over (to me that = wasted money, and disappointing drops).
I am just disappointed that all the fun factors that were in the game, of farming runs in Queensdale for new players who loved the comradie and boss runs, and excitement of levelling, to excited map chats have all but disappeared. It seems that everything is so geared around spending money in game, that the enjoyment has gone, and if you had to monitor some map chat, would get an idea of what people are thinking and saying.
This is my opinion of the game, and after sending bug reports for the last few months with no change or explanation, or email, and after posting on the forum with no response and my post disappearing, felt like I need to post how I am feeling about the game, and how it has supposedly progressed. A good indicator of this is in the guild panel showing the last time a player logged on, and sadly, lots of inactivity of really good players that have been playing a long time, and strangely last login, one day after the new living world came out, coincidence, I think not.
