So a bunch of my guildies have the fractal backpeice, which when you infuse it gets a dedicated slot for agony resistance. I however have Bowyer’s Delight, which according to the wiki, will just gain a +5 agony resistance if I infuse it. (however I’m also aware that the wiki isn’t really kept up to date, and that the way infusion work may have been updated)

I was hoping somebody might know whether infusing my Bowyer’s Delight still only gives the +5 agony resistance, or whether like the fractal back pieces it gets a dedicated agony slot.

As they’ve changed the way infusing an item works you should get the agony slot upon infusing your back item. The inherent +5 AR no longer exists and was replaced with the agony slot that you can put AR infusions into.
