I’ve been playing the game off and on since launch but never really farmed for gold until recently.

The last few weeks I have been doing the 4:30 world boss farm and making pretty decent gold doing so. This is especially great because my hands often hurt and afk farming world bosses is nice since I don’t have to button mash for hours.

My question is about which salvage kits to be using on which rarity. I have a couple copper fed salvage omatics that I use on pretty much everything blue and green. I use mystic kits on anything yellow.

So, should I be using a higher quality salvage kit on greens? And if so which exactly? Should I even be using my copper fed on blues?

I want someone who’s kinda canal about efficiency to respond. Thanks in advance.

use copper fed salvage o matic on white, blue and green weapons, light and heavy armor, medium armor (lvl 75-80) yields more silver, if you sell it to vendor, rather than selling the salvaged leather, unless the salvaged essence of luck is precious to you.
For rares, use master kits, mystic kits or the silver fed salvage o matic.

Some green trinkets should be salvaged with a master kit as well, if their upgrade component is worth more than a couple of silver but there are just a few of those exceptions and they are usually not looted from world bosses.

Some rare weapons will yield more profit, if you sell them on the tp, its usually the types of which the precursor for the legendary is expensive.

A good rule of thumb is: if the highest bid for the rare weapon is higher than the price of 1 ectoplasm, sell the weapon instead of salvaging it.

For my character who does Tequatl almost daily, or when I’m farming world bosses, or if I’m breaking down my spoils from several days in Silverwastes, I usually use Mystic Salvage kits. Sometimes I’ll just use basic, if it’s what I have on hand, and I don’t worry about it.

Mystic kits cost (10.5c/use) more than basic kits, even assuming you have a bunch of Mystic Forge Stones lying around, but since even minor sigils sell to vendors for 16 copper, it breaks even, more or less, especially if you’re using basics on plain items and mystic on anything with an upgrade.

Since it doesn’t make a significant difference, cost-wise, and I have a ton of forge stones accumulated, I use mystic kits for the convenience. Although, they’re most convenient if I’m standing next to a vendor as I tear open loot bags. If I’m opening bags / accumulating items as I run around a map, basics are more convenient because I’m not filling my inventory with sigils to sell.

Convenience is king.

(When I do salvage a rare or exotic, I use a Black Lion Kit, because I’ve accumulated enough of those to spare them.)
((I have no thoughts to offer about the Salvage-o-Matics.))
