Hi I just started this game today. I got this game to play with some friends of mine. I wanted to start and play a character to get used to it. But found out that I cannot make a new character on a different server. Is this going to effect me playing with my friends if they happen to be on another server when I find out later tonight?

As long as you and your friends are playing on the same region (NA or EU servers) you can play everything together except WvW.

And if you did want to play WvW together, or just want to be on the same server anyway, if you delete all your characters you can transfer to another server for free. Just make sure you put anything you might want to keep into your bank (and don’t use things like the Legacy Armor box on your first character).

I already used my Armor box I figured it would be available on every character. But its not that big of a deal. So far I have gotten decent gear before level 5 anyways so its not like I will be without gear.
