Was doing a plinx run (grind) for karma and came across a strange sight…..
A Ranger !!!
6 days i have been in Orr with my cond Thief and all i have seen are GS warriors , Guardians and the odd Mesmer/Necro/Thief (Dual pistols seem to be the flavour of the month on my server for thieves) but never a ranger…
Well i saw one, and he was great – Seemed to be on a par with the warriors for downing the mobs and has a great AOE arrow storm attack that puts my cluster bomb spam to shame…
Was very impressed and wondered why i don’t see more of them!!

Rangers do fine in PVE as far as I can tell on mine. Botters like them for a reason. People complain about their 1vs1 issues in PvP, though.

My 80 is a Ranger and does spectacularly well against PvE mobs. Not sure why some folks don’t like them. I think it’s a great profession.

rangers are exceptionally good at PVE, the only clamor is with PvP

I used to farm for stuff on my ranger,but now i use my guardian simple fact is soon as ppl see a ranger with a bear they auto think its a bot and hit the report button.

So i don’t want to take the risk of account banned for farming mats that i need to lvl up my proff.
it suxs because i kinda like my ranger tbh.

my only 80 is a ranger. like it so much I don’t feel the need to play another class yet

I farm Orr a lot as a ranger. I generally go down there to complete my daily achievement events, then go to northern Straits to finish off the kill variety.

Whats a Ranger? lol

You hardly ever see us because we have 1200-1500 range on our bows, and your camera doesn’t zoom that far out!
