Officer Glas – Asuran Guardian ~ Gunnars Hold
Guild – Dark Reavers [DkR]

After talking to a few people we feel that quests in gw are really just tasks, half of the time i forget that they even exist. I would love nothing than to go out into the world and embark and great adventures and stead of a 10 min task thats only use is to lvl up.
Here what i mean there is a quest called Linneas and the vicious tacklin’ rabbits.
Here is basically what it is now:
You are collecting fur while getting knocked down by bunny rabbits, quite annoying I thought. Leads to an event that you kill a veteran jotun
Here is what it should be like:
You have been given the quest to save a womens daughter from a jotun up in the mountains and you had to sneak up to its cave covering your scent with the fur of rabbits, but while escaping you get corned by the jotuns brothers and have to defend this girl from being killed, after returning her safe you discover she had be promised to the jotun as part of a deal when she was first born but the mother had changed her might after she was taken, the girl find out, leaves her family and demads you take her to LA where on the way she insist you show her how to fight as she wants to join the lion guard but was never aloud to (as she held at home by her mom for the day to be handed over to the jotun.
An epic QUEST for an epic game. what do you guys think. are there any quest you think could do with a good redo or are you happy with the “go kill X amount of frogs because we dont like them” type of quest stores

When everyone’s super, no one is.
Everyday happens, even in a fantasy world. There are plenty of quests where you feel like a hero. Most of the ones in the mid to high level areas in fact. But if every single one were homogenized to fit the mold you’ve suggested, none of them would feel heroic at all. They’d make the world feel like heroism is everyday mundane, and there would be no ideal to strive for as you progress through the areas.

An epic run-on sentence for an epic game.
I’m not sure if you got the memo, but GW2 isn’t really designed for personal quests. It focuses on over-arching meta-events, with events that guide these stories along. You have less these personal quests and more of these group quests that span entire maps. The Priory’s war with the Dredge in Dredgehaunt, the Seraph war against the Centaurs in Harathi, the plight of the Kodan/Quaggan refugees in Frostgorge, etc…
Some people like this, some people dislike this. However, you’re really missing out if you focus on the Renown Hearts (which it seems you are.) DEs are the lifeblood of GW2’s “quest” system.
PS Linneas and the bunnies was easily one of the most hilariously epic Hearts.

I don’t actually spend my time doing hearts, tbf i haven’t done a heart since hitting 70 last year. But although i do enjoy the meta events i wish there was some more sad/chilling/happy/heroic/evil themed quests out there to do
Actually getting knocked down by rabbits has nothing to do with that quest chain. The knock down by rabbits has to do with the heart. The quest chain starts when you investigate “strange fur” which has nothing to do with you being knocked down by rabbits.
You’ve chosen a single quest chain basically put there for the sake of humor to illustrate your example. What about quest chains like the long meta event in Harathi Hinterlands were you go to war against the centaurs, have to take back forts and camps, destroy their catapults and eventually drive them totally from the human areas?
What about the event chains against the pirates in Bloodtide, or against the undead and the krait in Sparkfly? What about the quest chain against the mega destroyer boss in Mount Maelstrom? What about the quest chain in the Straits of Devestation, preparing for the Assault against Zhaitan.
There are many strong and dramatic DE chains in this game. And are also some gentler ones to remind us that there’s still fun in the world.
Nothing wrong with that.
Some people won’t be happy until this game has elves, orcs, raids, and two factions…
And is made by Blizzard.
