That’s only a “fix” if you happen to believe that there’s something broken; not everyone does.
I agree that ANet was tone-deaf to the community by choosing the specific price points and features for each tier; I don’t agree that they set unfair prices. In other words, they did a bad job of marketing their own triumph, which does not mean they can do a good job by changing it now.

The price.is not the problem for me. It the value of content that fits the price. At them moment I do not know it there is enough in the Xpac to warrant the price. If the price is.going to be equal to that of the core game(at launch/not on sale) then I expect content value to match. I’ll not be giving ANet my.money till I know more.
And to anyone saying, will I get 50 hours of play time out of it? Yes I will, playing the core game to catch up with the story on the rev before I take him into HoT. After that, who knows how long it will take to “finish” the content in HoT.

First LS 1 is not happening because they only built LS 2 with the repeatability by giving LS 2 it’s own zones. They aren’t going to add the tech to blow up and rebuild Lion’s Arch over and over again.
LS 2 is currently on available for 1280 gems and a character slot is only 800 gems. Not really equivalent choices in terms of value to the player.

Make the maths:
Character slot= 800gems, LS2= like 1200 gems right now.
800+1200+1000=3000 gems, 800 gems =10 dollars.
Thats 37.5 dollars.
Plus what if someone have alredy the LS2 and want something in exchange -.-.
In anycase, thats not happening. But sure would be cool lol.
Unfortunately it cannot be fixed, you could add all those things, and there would be someone complaining, someone else supporting the complaint, someone trolling the complaint, etc.
But yea. the fact that nothing is acually broken kind of suggests it cant be fixed either.
