I believe a way to improve the usefulness of the home portal is to add a Black lion merchant, a guild bank and a personal bank to one’s hometown. The cost of said additions can be set by the developers and the reason behind this is to make the home portal more useful by having access to said services at will. The addition of crafting stations at the home portal is another thought that come to mind. That said, perhaps the home portal could have charges that are refillable.

You, I and several hundred other players have asked for such things.

I have no idea who selects Arena Net’s priorities but considering the features they give us and the already working features they “improve”. I would not get my hopes up for ever getting anything like this, seems like the more wanted the feature the lower the priority it has.

The thing is it would kill the NPC cities as most people would go to their lag free home instance instead. This is kinda what happened in swg years ago when they added player cities…the NPC cities died. They want people to have a reason to hang out in LA.

I avoid LA and other lag-central locations like the plague, personally, but I see your point.

Though, I would love a place with such little lag, no commander tags dancing around my minimap and no local chat. That would be sweet.

I try and avoid the laggy places due to loading times and I agree with you….but I think this may be anets reasoning, though who knows? I’m sure if they did add it it would be like a 2 week thing like the banker golem.
