I missed the winter events when this came out, will it make a return? It would be great to get through Empyreal Fragments.

Notes.

You can still finish the scavenger hunt and feed Grawnk the delicacies after Wintersday 2014 ended. When you go to your home instance, Grawnk and the orphan will still show up. Talk to Grawnk and he will tell you where Sous-Chef Seimur Oxbone is and you can still find him, although his icon won’t show up on the map like it did during Wintersday. After feeding him three times, you will still get the collection unlock item and you can then go do the jumping puzzles to get the ornaments. Once done, you will receive credit for the achievement and get your home instance node and the Orphan’s Generous Gift.

I have tried this. I never saw Grawnk.

I think this was put in for after the event so people who were a little late to it could still get it. But at some point it was removed and the wiki was never updated.

I would love to be wrong about that, though, so if someone could tell us exactly where Grawnk is in any home instance and then I could actually find him, that would be great.

I think the above poster who said it will probably be back with the next Wintersday is probably correct.

In the mean time, I continue to craft plates of piquant food for Mawdrey II. :-)

I thought you needed to have started the event to get Grawnk in the instance during Wintersday. Then you could finish it after Wintersday elapsed. If you didn’t start it during Wintersday, there’s no Grawnk, and no way to start it.

Yes, I had a look, but he isn’t at my home instance. So maybe he’ll be back this winter.

I’d say there simply isn’t enough gratitude to manufacture more right now. Maybe come the holidays they’ll be a rich enough resource to produce more stars.

You can still finish the scavenger hunt

What that means is if you already started the quest, you can still complete it. (However, there’s no way to start the quest, outside of waiting for Wintersday 2015).

I’m just swimming in empyrean fragments. The Star of Gratitude should be available year round, like the other two.

That is ONLY if you started the quest chain just having the letter does nothing.

the Star wont help you much with that hoarding. With the rate of getting empyrean from normal play and the daily limit that the Star can eat, you would most likely never be able to clear all that.

2 months with the Star would take care of it as long as you remember to feed daily.

I suppose I could also sink the empyreal fragments into the vision crystal components for ascended gear.

I’m not assuming anything it will take him about 78 days to get through that batch of fragments. I don’t doubt he will generate more but it’s not like he wouldn’t have newly empty slots to put them in or he could just right click and Destroy, hard to do but it only hurts for a little bit.

The star completely handled my backlog, despite the amount I got from normal play.
