So – with the new update to miniatures everyone and their mother is running around Tyria with a mini following close by.

The problem is some of them ( in my opinion all of them) are completely immersion breaking and take away from the feeling of the game. Again – that’s just me.

It would be nice if there could be an in-game option to tick/untick in order to make them show up/not show up for you.

They’re a cosmetic thing. They matter for the person who has them equipped but then again I’d rather my epic fights and encounters were fought without small pandas running about.

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

I like some of the minis myself but I tend to agree. Although they are cute and nice when roaming around, they wouldn’t fit in battles and stuff and could be some immersion breaking indeed. Maybe it should be like player’s model, we have an option to degrade someone’s else model quality for whatever reason, maybe having an option to hide minis could be useful too.

There is no epic battle that can’t be improved by the addition of tiny battle pandas. (That said, I am more partial to Mini Plush Griffon myself.)

But yeah, this is a sensible feature and should be in, if for no other reason than it would be helpful for those with computer specs on the lower end of the spectrum.

Minis are not the immersion breaking thing in this game. In the grand scheme of things they are one of the lesser ones. I gave up on any type of immersion in GW2

Most of my characters display minipets (generally quite appropriate to the character and/or setting). But I have zero objection to letting you not see them.

…as long as you support my campaign to give me a similar check box to not display Legendary weapon swooshes and footprints and glows.

They’re a cosmetic thing. They matter for the person who has them equipped but then again I’d rather my epic fights and encounters were fought without Unicorns flying over the battlefield and flower gardens popping up all over the place next to oil puddles.

Can I just bump this? I know minis can be hidden…the game does it automatically when a map is full. I cannot fully express how much I hate the sound effects from the Mini Super Banana, and I really don’t like having to move the effects volume slider all the way down to not hear it.

Seriously, with the stupid banana. I despise it.

Or maybe a checkbox to hide event effects such as airplane mode last month?
