A wee "thank you" message.
I’m in the same situation as you were, running on a GeForce 9400GT and a poor 2.6GHz processor, GW1 still runs superbly on max, CE of GW2 is on minimum settings just to get the frame rate high enough for a smooth feel (big sad face). My guildies are running on ssd’s and great cards :-(
I blame my atrocious ability to do jumping puzzles on my pc rather than my skill level.
I’m glad that Doghouse Systems now deliver to the UK, one day my friends, one day.
Hehe Menzzo Berranzan. I only managed to pick up my new card/PSU ’cos my GF was in a very understanding mood. Though when I told her the price, her voice jumped about 5 octaves :P

I’m the wage earner. If I want to buy another videocard, I do so. If she wants to buy another pair of shoes, she asks me.
That being said, pure graphics are still better in GW1, but nothing beats the rolling hills of Gendara with random people running around everywhere.

I simply wanted to shout out a big “thank you” to the entirety of ArenaNet for developing and delivering such a wonderful game.
I’d like to second this. With so much entitled whining on these forums it’s nice seeing people actually enjoy the game
I agree with the OP. Just yesterday I found an area I never noticed before and had to linger just to marvel at the beauty and detail. You really fell the dev love in this game.
Just wait until they get culling removed completely in PvE, the game will look much better

A good graphic card is completely essential to enjoy the detail on the world.
Before i bought the computer i am playing now, i remember that in a previous game all the stairs were ramps to me… When i realized that they were indeed stairs i got the "Whoooah, wtf… " feel!
