A week of lag, what do ?
Call your ISP. Unless the karkageddon has started it might be on your end. If it’s happening to lots of your guild mates it’s probably server side combined with how poorly optimized this game is.

I dunno, it’s been working fine ( isp ) for all my other games. And calling them is pointless, it’s like. “hur hur, you should unplug your modem for 20 seconds and replug it.” NOWAI.
Customer service is too good. Most of the lag spikes Iv’e been getting is happening to my team as well. I don’t know anymore ;
I just had a depressing pvp match where lag spikes makes you use black powder 2-3 times in a row effectively crapping on my initiative lol.

I would put a ticket in and give them your specs and your ISP speed so they can look into it. Trust me karkageddon was so annoying I skipped the whole event.
I haven’t been lagging at all on my end. Have you tried updating your routers firmware?
Must be the ISP, I had the impression it was the servers’ fault but it turned out a major problem with the entire connection in my country…
I’ve been having problems ever since the free preview weekend.
Unstable Shield, Unstable Light
The last time I had really bad long term connection problems, I figured out that my router was overheating, and beginning to fail.
Replaced it, and all is well.

Interesting. I’ve been having crazy lag spikes and DCs this week too, but not guildmates. I thought it was just me. (well, obviously it could still be, but at least I am not alone :p)
Having the same issues over the past few days. Could be longer, but I was off in the mountains for five days…
For the most part the game plays fine, but then I would get a freeze frame moment and then be dead after hearing lots of slapping and screams all at once. Made me think of the days of D2 and those blasted Flayers in act3, would fight, freeze then hear lots of spitting(blowgun) and then lil laughing.
The other half of it is random loss of connection to server errors, mainly in anything pvp. Haven’t experienced it in pve yet. I’ve checked everything in the computer and all is green and the other games run fine. I’m sure this won’t last long, but it’s just annoying for now. How well this game runs with so few errors or downtime is the reason I play it so much.

I haven’t had any lag in the last week. Check the obvious things:
- unplug router and leave it off for 5 minutes, so it can clear it’s ram. Yes, that’s necessary once in a while.
- optimize your routing to ports 80, 443, 6112 and 6600. Furthermore give gw2.exe full admin rights
- turn off torrentz or kick your sibling into turning them off
- check whether you’re over your bandwidth allowance in belgium (ugh)
- replace router
In almost all cases, these problems can be solved by the end user.

no, its a known issue in all tiers, when a certain player number is reached in the vicinity skill lag starts to appear, both NA / EU and all tiers have reported it, that’s not a personal ISP problem on that scale, so as you said last, its game / server side.
although mostly reported in WvWvW.
has been reported in PvE too, i just thought i would say this as thats been the biggest section affected thus far.

Something has been iffy lately at least. Last night I tried to do AC exp and was having spikes of 30s+ lag inside the dungeon (ie everything stops). I had to leave the group. Never lagged out inside a dungeon before and didnt lag outside the dungeon. LA was just fine, even WvW was perfectly fine.
