AAA MMORPG with no Ingame GM Support
Is it world of tanks? I think I guessed it right!
But yeah seeing some GMs run around would be kinda cool
Tell me why you need a Ingame GM Support
Been playing since first BWE and not once have I needed any kind of in game support. Id rather them be helping people with actual problems then running around in game being asked by every other player for 10,000g

Well it depends on what a GM can do.
If they will be able to “reset” a broken NPC, skill point, event without restarting whole server – GMs would be a welcome addition.
Game certainly has some minor issues wich could be solved by precise field tuning. But now we are forced to wait for the maintenance and hope it will work.
On the other hand, if there is no real instruments to do such things, then GMs would be kinda useless.

Then he wouldn’t need to come to forums in order to express his opinion or right a diary note
The ticket support system Anet has setup is incredibly fast, ingame GM’s are not needed.
Also GW2 doesn’t have millions of people playing*cough*obvious WoW reference*cough*. So there isn’t a need for it.

Their customer support team, or what some may call “game masters”, seems to have a lack of tools. I’m sure they have people that are working on creating more, but for now customer support can’t even do something as seemingly simple as mailing us lost items.
I often see complaints about customer support that are linked to customer support saying “they can’t refund X item”. This statement it is ambiguous though (is that their rule or is it due to a technical restraint?), and from what I’ve read, it is indeed due to a technical restraint.
I would not be surprised if, due to so many other engineering priorities, customer support and perhaps even ingame developer tools were put on the back burner.
I will let you guess which 2012 AAA MMORPG that cost money + a ingame cash shop and yet have no ingame GM…
Seriously, why can’t ANet hire a couple GM and allocate resources from the support team to answer ingame tickets and help solve problem realtime?
Lack of subscription fees really seems to limit the types of service you can get in a game.
For example, Warcaft mentioned that their $15/mo to play the game generally goes to customer support:

They mentioned if they dropped the subscription, and went to a free to play model, their support would be very limited.
GW2 most likely have GM. What it doesn’t have is Babysitter, which seem to be what you are asking for.
Best GM are the one who do their work and that you never see. Not Babysitters sitting in town with their groopies and never doing anything relevant other than listening to mouth breather complains and sorting baby’s drama.
There might not be in-game GMs, but there are in-game devs.
Dev commands are stripped out of the release client and are only available on their in-house servers. Without these commands, GMs could really only offer support, which support already does. So basically, what you want is for support to be accessible using an in-game interface?
I see a few running around here and their but from what I heard they keep their Anet icon turned off so they can roam and actually play the game instead of being mobbed by a bajillion players. Even if you don’t see them, they’re watching, somewhere.
Almost all the mmo’s I play I never see gm presence, but when I do, the chat is filled with people crying and whining about something or trying to get someone banned because they were being a big meany.
Well the old saying comes to mind here : Rather have something and not need than not have something and do. In my oppinion there is a lot of little small issues gms could be very helpfull with. Also 3 day ticket turn around is not as fast as quickly chatting to a gm it might be solved in seconds.
