Is it possible to convert a ground target to be placed at your current target? Perhaps from holding shift or something? Rift, for instance, has the “@gtae” so that the effect it centered on your target, rather than pulling up the mouse ground-target and having to click.

While ground target AE is often quite nice, it’s equally often just annoying to have to press, target the mouse, then click, especially when you’re trying to move around.

I use the press to target>release to cast option. While it doesn’t center on your target, it does wonders in terms of putting the AoE where you want it instead of where your cursor happens to be.

I feel your pain, or well I felt it, till I did the same thing mtpelion said

I usually hold rmb and my cursor is at the center of my screen, then I just tap my skills with my left hand and it drops them right at the center of my screen. Takes some getting use to for pinpoint targeting but once you do it’s so much more fluid and easy on the hands.

as a mouse clicker myself… i really want the option to “fast cast on target” instead of being forced to press the numbers on my keyboard. i still feel like my control input style is being discriminated against.

fast cast on PC is input neutral, doesn’t matter if mouse click or number press
fast cast on mouse cursor doesn’t work for mouse clickers at all, since the cursor is on the UI, not on the landscape.
