So I got an item today that I can sell for 5g 10s 60c. Listing fee is 25s 53c. Yet my profit is only 4g 59s 54c

5.10.60
- 25.53
=4.85.07 not 4.59.54

Now I know the difference is only roughly 25 silver, but if you did this often enough youd be getting screwed out of alot of gold.

So where is the missing silver going and why is it not listed as part of the fee? Now if there is one fee for listing, and another for actually selling the item, then this needs to be posted when you place your item in the AH. I kinda feel like the AH is ripping me off and not telling me about it.

You have a listing fee of a certain % then a tax if sold. One is 10% and the other is 5% I believe. It could be the other way around, though.

The reason why is if you don’t sell it and want to relist it or keep it. You don’t get taxed the whole 15% twice.

This provit is with the sale tax of 10% deducted. You can also see it in the tp, when you put in on offer you see your projected provit (which is the ammount you will get for the item if it sells, which is your sale price minus 10%. Next to that is the listing fee of 5% that you pay the moment you put it on offer.

If you cancel your sale for any reason, you lose 5% on it (the listing fee) you only pay the 10% tax the moment the item is sold, which is then directly deducted from your sell price.

This explains your 10% price difference, its the sale tax.
