Q:

Dear Developers and forum moderators,

one simple question: Why short break(month? 6months?) after LS season 1?

Now the reasoning why i asked.

ANet have 2 “teams” working on stuff.
1 team is for LS, second is for everything else.
From past interviews we know that LS team consist from 4 LS teams, each working on separate LS update.
But about second team we dont know anything.

The short break does make sense only in 2 cases.
1) really big changes made by last LS update
2)there is no second team, and just one team of LS devs

As far as I can see on game updates, option 2 is correct. Each update is being worked on in the last moment. Each update brings a lot of bugs into the game. No update is actually repairing old bugs and old features. For example, there are still bugged events in Bloodtide Coast.
I am not a game designer, but I have some knowledge of it, and it seems like ANet devs=guys working in game editor.
They know how to add things, but if something is broken in code, they need to call the Fixer (one tru dev who knows the code). This explains why PartyUI is not repaired in WvW, this explains why all those bugs are still in game.

So LS tream is not working on feature updates, they focus on LS. But ANEt got some guys working on new features for a long time now(3 months) and they will work on it another 3 months: Why short break after LS season 1?

And then it was announced recently that their LS formula isn’t working quite well anymore and all this is probably gone out the window. They did mention that they have a few teams doing some BIG things (possible expansion, not LS) that will shake the world of Tyria.
