This is in response to two trending topics as of late: selling dungeon runs, and trading post listing fees.

To those of you upset about people who sell dungeon runs: Get over it and yourselves. (Or don’t. Who am I, your parole officer?) If you’re the kind of person who can’t be bothered to do research before selecting a seller of a dungeon run, THAT IS ON YOU. If you get ripped off, guess what, buttercup. You just bought a lesson instead. Learn from that lesson – do your homework and select a seller with a proven track record. They’re out there.

To those of you upset about undercutting on the TP taking listing fees: Get over it and yourselves. (No, really.) The life of a salesman is not an easy one. Salesmen are expected to know their market. They’re expected to know the prices of the items in which they deal, and the smart successful ones adjust accordingly. It’s not ANet’s place to guarantee you become Gordon Gekko. THAT IS ON YOU.

The tl;dr?

Please stop crying about things that are under your power to control. I mean, you don’t HAVE to stop crying, but it would go a long way toward people listening to your concerns.

No, but he is raging about other people raging, so it cancels out and therefore means his post is not mindless venting but is in fact carefully thought out and intelligent commentary.

How do you do homework without reliable sources?

Paying for a dungeon run seems to defeat its purpose, but I personally have nothing against the service and the buyer should use his judgement.

I don’t like the dungeon selling, but it’s probably good to let players have some means of making gold.

When I look at dungeons and they’re all selling spots, I don’t go. But, I do need all those dungeons and I don’t ever get in one.

Anyway, it’s just a pc game and I do other stuff besides dungeons.

I mean, I occasionally see threads about them, but I’ve been seeing occasional threads about them for years.

I’m sure you’re going to make a difference with this thread. A week from now, someone will think about complaining about dungeon sellers, go back a few pages in the message board, read this thread, and not post about it. Mission accomplished.

Old or new makes no matter. You posted a diatribe and I’m simply asking what the point of doing so is. What do you hope to accomplish by doing so?
