ANet, you crossed the line
Dev’s love troll’s, it’s pretty much that. Every event and large social gathering of players has had “holes” in the design to allow trolling. Great way to build a community, huh?
Want to prove me wrong Dev’s, then fix the holes.

“What Part Of Living Says You Gotta Die?
I Plan On Burnin Through Another 9 Lives”
That’s too bad. I relied on paid runs of Arah to help finish my Bifrost. I’m not in a guild, I don’t know many people, and I’m not super awesome, so would never get invited to a real run. I was very grateful to the folks that sold me runs, at a reasonable price, and was surprised at how reliable, honest and respectful they were. Was never taken advantage of, and one time the person finished even though they couldn’t get a full group, so as not to make us have to wait.
And I never thought of it so much as selling as the reverse of me asking in a global chat if anyone would be willing to give me a slot in a group if I paid for the help. I’m not sure why it gets a bad reputation. Doesn’t really hurt anyone else.
I’m sorry to hear they made tools that make it difficult for you to continue. I followed the link and read his post, and that borderline ‘encourages’ people to do that to you. That’s a shame.
Also, I expressed my opinion that a certain member here might actually be an employee in disguise. I promptly received an infraction, my post was deleted and so were any posts agreeing with, and quoting it.

You do realize they would never admit, don’t you?

paranoia is a wonderful thing.

You do realize they would gain absolutely nothing from engaging in such a practice, right?
They do. They sway the opinion of newer members. However, that’s my opinion and it does have a foundation. Looking at the posting history of some members is enough. I’m not going to talk about this anymore.
kitten, I misclicked. Gonna put up the OP in a sec again… Gonna edit this post then.
I have the need to bring this up. If it gets me banned, so be it.
This thread was opened yesterday and got responses from Chris Cleary. We were told that action will be taken against griefers who blackmail you into paying to keep your instance or straightout steal it (seen in quotes in the linked post). Now Chris clearly states that they won’t do anything about griefing, as long as it is not “habitual” – Basically allowing everyone to grief “every now and then”, because the Customer Support doesn’t want to expose itself to “my word against his word” discussions. This on its own is already outrageous, we’re basically not safe against all kinds of griefers.
In about the same time frame, another thread was posted. In this thread, someone complained about getting his instance stolen by a full group, everything laid out with evidence and whatnot. It even went so far that one of the griefers posted inside that thread and admitted on his own that he’s done it. This thread has now been deleted without anyone being informed and – apparently – without any actions taken. //The griefers have been sanctioned, however the main reason seemed to be GM impersonating.
ArenaNet, WHAT THE kitten are you trying to accomplish with this? Getting rid of everyone?! This is a serious issue which robs players of time and is frustrating beyond normal levels! And even if you deleted that thread because names were visible, you could’ve deleted all screenshots and let the thread alive. ONE OF THE GRIEFERS ADMITTED HE’S DONE IT, why are you not punishing him and show us that you’re actually doing something against such behaviour? Instead you’re reinforcing the fact that griefers can do what they want – as long as it’s in moderation?
Out of all ridiculous things you pulled, this has to be the saddest move I’ve ever seen. Good job at “communicating with us”.

@Novaan Verdiano:
I found a recent developer post on this topic in another thread.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Dungeon-owner-sometimes-required/page/2#post4398351
Not sure if you’ve seen it yet, but I am guessing it is about the same issue, and it already has a thread dedicated to it (in the Dungeon subforum).

This is the post I originally linked in the OP (which is now a few posts below because I messed up), but the link is gone (also because I messed up). However, at the time I posted, that response wasn’t up.
