I’ve been unable to check the updates for the last few days. I just stumbled across the notes mentioning the auto-loot function and I just wanted to say thank you ArenaNet for putting this system into the game!

The lovely art assets of the game often make is difficult to see corpse sparkles, this will make things far more convenient. There is no mention of WvW loot bags, does this system work for those?

WOOHOO!!! That is awesome to hear.

One of my biggest peeves about WvW has been the loot I know I’ve been leaving behind because of the flow of the battle lines. It is really cool to hear autolooting works in WvW. Looks like I’ll definitely be logging in this weekend to try it out

I have yet to try this, so a real autoloot? like walk near and it auto picks up to bags?

If so I am very very happy.

Yes, it is quite awesome, works everywhere and you don’t have to be next to any loot to loot everything around you.

The auto-loot option has been in for some time. What was added is the AOE auto-loot and with it you must be within a certain distance from said loot(s) which is 900([900 what I have no clue).

I’m confused, I thought you still had to hit a key. AoE loot, not automatic. Is it just in WvW?

You must still hit a key(that should be something other than the F key).

It’s not an “auto loot”, it’s an AOE loot.

Good point about it actually being AoE loot, not auto-loot. I’ve changed the thread title.

I believe the 900 units are the same units as the range used for spells and weapons. If the reference I found on GuildWars Insider is correct then 900 is the range for the autoattack on a Guardian/Necro/Ele/Mesmer Scepter or an Engineer Main hand Pistol. (Why aren’t ranges anywhere on the GW2 wiki?)

That’s a pretty nice range! I’d think you’d be able to scoop up any WvW bags laying about while still running around avoiding foes.

You want it to be like Kingdom Hearts, don’t you? I don’t mind hitting the button but I was thinking someone might make an add-on to do that but that would probably be too much of a modification to stay out of EULA trouble.

The fact that in effect loot can now be bound to a separate key is the big deal for me. I can’t count the number of times I’ve started rezzing Npcs while trying to loot, or talked to one only to have a huge chat box obstructing my view. Very, very good change. +1 anet, now give us the ability to buy in bulk at vendors.

Finally got to try it this weekend and it’s great Really nice quality of life improvement!

The additional animation of the loot sparkles getting sucked to your character like the greedy black holes they are was a nice touch
