About Guild Wars 2 Mods...
Doubt it. I’m not sure of what engine GW2 uses and its capabilities, but it certainly is not the Creation engine like Skyrim or the Source engine. HUD mods could be a possibility, however game modding in mmos or any multiplayer games are very rare.
Usage of mods = ban.
Highly unlikely. GW1 never allowed mods, best folks could do was texmod, and from what I recall hearing GW2 and texmod aren’t very compatible due to texture issues or some such.
Even then, the best mods you’d get is texture improvements and UI changes given the whole open world basis.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
There will most likely never be any add-on support because Gw1 never did. There will definitely never be any support for any other type of mods. Unlike a single player game, to add user created content to an MMO, it would have to be distributed to everyone.
You can however do some modifications by using 3rd party programs to alter the game, like replacing textures to add custom armor skins. This was used, and allowed, in GW1 to mod the UI.
