About new legendary weapons.
Who cares about legendaries anyways, they are just a cool looking, huge grind skins.
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
I don’t know what is the problem of selling a legendary since the effort for either buying or crafting is the same, grinding.
I wouldn’t say the effort is the same. TP barons can make 2k gold with very little effort. To make the legendary takes a bit of mastery in all parts of the game, aside from pvp. You actually have to play, ya know.
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?

You have to play. And after you have played you realize that you have 30% of mats you need. And then you go grind to get the rest of the legendary.
Basically, I played for a year + and then my Legend dropped. Next day I finished, because i had friends who donated mats. If I hadn’t spent that year playing the game, I might not have had the gift of mastery done, and it would have taken more playing of the game to finish, because you can’t buy map completion or skill points or obsidian shards.
Moral of the story: I didn’t grind
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?

Making legendary unable to be sold doesn’t change that much if most of the ingredients + the precursor can be bought, I don’t see the reason to be disappointed. More over, if somebody would spend $800 for a piece of digital equipment, they must be either obscenely rich or insane
Some people like. me hate exploring . I only like PvP and dungeon. And i am making an insane amount of money so i"ll buy it directly from TP . Where’s the problem i still have to spend 2 more months to get it . I make around 100g per week .
You can sell a legendary, but you can’t pass one to another toon after you have equipped it.
The game is full of conundrums.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
You can’t sell it after you equip it either…. sheesh
You can’t sell it after you equip it either…. sheesh
You miss the point entirely, simply trying to be the smart guy in the room.
The fact you can SELL a legendary but you can’t use it on other toons is ridiculous.
Seriously.

Nonsense. The game is way to much gold-driven end that means that also for making the legendary gold grind works the best.
Yes you need world completion but thats about everything. The rest is a gold-grind and then buy what you need. The problem is that because the game is so gold-driven it’s better to grind the gold and then buy the stuff you need then really farming the stuff you needs. That is nearly impossible.
So in the end it is not a big difference if you buy it from the TP or you create it yourself. It are those few small thinks like world completion and WvW that make a the small difference.
BTW, I don’t see the problem with the fact that you can sell them. especially because getting them is not based on skill but on grind.

One would think that if you were after a specific legendary, that you would have a specific character in mind for it. Being able to pass it around from character like some normal run of the mill weapon detracts from its intent. I know I’m explaining this terribly, but I tried anyway. Of course, its pretty obvious that my view and understanding is drastically different than most people on here.
Being able to sell it, while it would be a little odd that a hero would want to do such, there is nothing any tale that says they couldn’t, necessarily. I don’t see why someone shouldn’t be allowed to do such if they were lucky enough to acquire one that they simply did not want or could not use. (Of course, I sort of feel the same way about ascended)
I agree I honestly think its kittened that you can buy them on the AH, IMO it just devalues there meaning.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but on top of my head I can’t remember a tale where the hero used a powerful weapon and was not able to pass it on afterwards.
Not many stories focus that much on the economical aspect either … mhhhh.
But here you go, maybe it has nothing to do with any of that and is simply a mechanic of a game, nothing more, nothing less.
Here is to hoping that the pre-cursor crafting will come soon.
To the OP – it felt a bit funny at first, but in a way it makes sense as well. Why the step back – or why they went the opposite way with ascended I don’t know.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
Who cares about legendaries anyways, they are just a cool looking, huge grind skins.
Whether you care or not, he actually makes a valid point. ;s
They need to fuse the features of legendary and ascended together, with the exception of the stat changing part legendary have~
Both sellable but account binds w/o soul binding when equiped.

What’s the point of complaining? It’s sellable. So? It’s not like it’s cheap and affordable by the majority of the player base.
I made mine because I already had full world explore and it was cheaper to make one than to buy one. I really like their effects but I’m not bothered about how someone got theirs.
Really they have to be sellable if WvW remains in world explore, because some PVE only worlds are dominated in there so badly that they will never get that.
Here is to hoping that the pre-cursor crafting will come soon.
I look froward to this, and yet I’m terrified of it at the same time.

Oh yes. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I’m hoping the new one comes without ingredients that can be bought with gold. Would be nice, and not sell-able.
