Really sad that the straw hat that comes with the outfit is only available to female characters. It’s not fair. D,:

I actually prefer the male version, although they’re both a little too close to the Witch outfit, in my opinion.

Kinda a drag when male/female outfits are significantly different like this. They both have their fans, and they both have their fans who would like to have the other gender’s version available.

(Having said that, I think it’s awesome that there’s an outfit that can be earned in-game, and not through the gem store. I might not be a -huge- fan of these designs, since I already own/prefer to witch outfit, but it’s a sweet reward just the same.)

Really agree with this comment. When I first saw the outfits I thought the female version was too close to the witch set, while the male (despite also being a re-work of the witch set) looked much cooler and different imo.

It’s great it can be earned ingame, but it was disappointing that my female character is locked to a certain set – considering the style of each gender’s are significantly different.

They finally release an ingame outfit and its a reskinned existing outfit with a different hat. GG

Yeah. I’d rather have a male and female version of both outfits.

I really don’t like when they are too different. Scholar class armor is the worst offender, with some light armors you can barely say it’s the same set.

I noticed something familiar about the shoulder piece, I came here and discovered it’s the Witch’s Outfit and I’ve read twice about China not liking skeletons.

Wonder if someone here knows any Chinese myths that seem to be incorporated into the outfit? Like the talismans on the hat, are they for keeping malicious spirits away from me or keeping me sealed.

I really want the female hat as an armour piece. Just the hat (get rid of the hood though, those things look TERRIBLE on charr). I don’t need a whole new set made, I would actually prefer if the straw hat with the talismans was this year’s Halloween headgear instead of returning that silly mask of the night.

Please make the hat from the female Hexed costume a stand alone helmet skin.

Well the “Hexed Outfit” is actually the Chinese version of the Witch’s Outfit.
It’s because in China bones are a no go or something like that.

I’d love to have just the hat to mix-and-match. Would be great on my Canthan inspired thief.

In some Asian cultures China specifically here (looking at a Wiki Article on Asian Etiquette): Showing of bones is deemed as being disrespectful to ancestors at a culture-wide level and thus is unlawful to be shown in video games, movies, and many more things. Its about respecting the dead/elders near as I can tell.

It’s a cultural thing and important to respect.

China’s Halloween patch must be quite different then!

They don’t even have Halloween in China. I wonder what it’s called…

Edit: Google told me it’s Teng Chieh – which is different from the Halloween we celebrate.
