I read on many threads and hear a lot of people whining on the forum.
- Mostly it is because there aren’t those neat extra features that we all like and want implemented into the game… or sometimes it is people, who have accommodated to the old system that are having a hard time getting used to the new system… and at other times it is just those people who spend an insane amount of time grinding and then complaining about the lack of content.

Listen, all of you!
- Personally, I was thrilled to get started with GW2, and of course there were a lot of things that I expected from the Manifesto to be here, which isn’t… yet.
Actually, when the game launched (and when I played the beta) I expected that the game would have flaws. I didn’t expect it to be perfect, but I expected to see some of the concepts that they talked about in the Manifesto brought into gameplay.

To all of you who seemlessly grind through the content… it is like back when I played WoW. There were those guys that at the start of a new expansion’s release would during one evening or two have reached the next level cap, tried the first few dungeons then complaining about there not being enough content.
- Do you guys realize how much work there is in making it, not to mention that it has to be tweaked at times before it works to an acceptable degree?
- If you complete it within a week and expect the dev team to have produced entirely new dungeons, armor sets, weapons, accessories, etc. for each week you truly don’t appreciate the current content enough.

Why do you guys think that they made the Guild Missions harder to unlock, the ascended gear a grind… actually, why do you think they made the end grind that all of you seem to hate?
- In an attempt to make something that you cannot just achieve within a week, giving the dev team more time to work on their new content (the Living Story is something completely new to MMO’s and they’re trying to make it work right, while having to accommodate your tireless complaints about lack of other content too), you got this more “grind” gameplay… which you then complain about.
- How about you try out the different aspects of the game? Have you found all the jumping puzzles? Have you maxed out a crafting profession? Have you got a legendary? There’s plenty to do, and I find it fun to do it with a few friends.
(League of Legends and Dota has basically ONE gameplay element: PvP, and I can do that over and over and still find it fun in the company of my friends… same thing goes for GW2).

- I’m getting pretty sick of people complaining, and saying that this game isn’t for you (yes, I read that thread, and I don’t know if you have any idea how hard it is to start up an MMO and getting new ideas implemented, let alone improving on already existing concepts, when people expected you to make a perfect first attempt).

Cool it, people!
- If you have complaints, why don’t you suggest on how to improve it instead? Not telling them to remove their entire concept and make a replica of other MMO’s. No, trying to suggest improvements to their gameplay designs and concepts.

That is what these forums are for. If you don’t like the game to the extent that you want to leave, then please, leave… but leave quietly.
- If you don’t like the game to the extent that you want it to improve, then please, let us know what the problem is, let us discuss it and how to best deal with it. Put it on the suggestion page and let the dev team take it up to consideration (it is their decision in the end that decides how best to deal with it anyways, so use arguments as to why you think your way of going about it would work).

The game isn’t perfect. The Manifesto is their goal, it is what they want to achieve, but if you think that they expected to have achieved it at launch, then you were wrong. They are still working towards their goal, the Manifesto.

You’re whining about people whining. Forums should be where players can be heard not censored.

Is GW2 a game or a virtual casino?

I expected someone to say this, but unfortunately some people think that they need to yell to be heard, instead of sitting down and discussing game improvements in a calm and orderly manner.

Dude, I see people who are more interested in flaming the game to start a discussion that leads no where than suggesting on how it can be improved.

- Many threads I read don’t really suggest on how to improve the game, but merely says that it should have accomplished more than other MMO’s even though GW2 have been out no longer than 7 months.

- If the dev team has to listen to the community, then the community needs to give constructive feedback. Like “This aspect of the game really bugs me because of this and this, and I think it could be solved if…” – You get the point, I’m sure.

I’m willing to listen to complaints and discuss it, as long as it is not just complaints that don’t offer some sort of solution. Basically “I don’t want this… but I don’t know what I want instead.” is kind of annoying, and there needs to be put more thought into it. We have to make the complaints into feedback (if you get my point?).

Hi everyone,

While it is true that the forums are a place for people to be heard, these kind of threads where people “complain of people” and the someone “complains of people complaining of people” are very prone to turn into a flamewar extremely easy.
Thus we are going to close it.

Thanks for your understanding.
