Hi.

My alt turned 3 years today, and I was very much looking forward to getting the Abyss dye from the Lion’s Arch Survivors kit. According to the wiki-page, it should be included there:

However, the dye was not an option in the pack – and I now believe that it “only” offers the exclusive dyes from the respective pack. Which is neat, but would have steered my choice differently (electric pink, woo!)

I have two questions, I suppose:

1) – Have I understood it correctly, that the 3’rd birthday dye kits offer the exclusive colours of their respective packs, and not free choice of any die that arrived in that pack?

2) – Could I appeal to customer service and ask for the possibility to redo my choice, or would that be a waste of time?

you can try writing a ticket if you haven’t used the dye/pack…

I had a bit of missfortune (my own stupidity and eagerness) a short while back and I actidentally used the dye I wanted to sell (to buy another one) and they said they can’t give it back to me or change it…

There is no randomisation, but you can only choose from the dyes that are exclusive to that pack – not the ‘normal’ dyes which are included in the pack but also available elsewhere.

Don’t go with Abyss! If you really want a good black go with Shadow Abyss, otherwise I’d go for an expensive dye from a currently unavailable pack.

You can’t? My bad, just go with blacklight or whatever then save up for regular or shadow abyss with gems.

It’s not an option, that’s why I picked a bunch of enameled, electro, and blacklight.

I bought shadow abyss for 200g. well worth it.

I had such a bad experience with abyss, this was years before shadow abyss. You see, back in the day, dyes were not account bound. I had 8 characters and bought abyss dye 8 times ranging from 4g-35g. I think I bought 3 for over 30g.

Not sure how we got this vain

From the birthday presents, I got Recall and Electro Pink dyes.
