So tired of getting account-bound drops from certain dungeons. Can someone from ANet clarify why this design decision was made? I get so much crap that I dont want and end up destroying because it cant be salvaged…I wish it could go up on TP as a means to make a bit of cash.

I understand the why behind soul-bind on equip, but for the love of Dwayna, get rid of Bound-on-drop/acquire garbage…

I support this, there are items from dungeons that I would like to acquire for my legendary but I have no interest in doing dungeons

This would be a good solution for both sides of the fence

I got an 80 exotic scepter the other day as a drop. It’s account-bound, so can’t TP it. Both my 80s that can use scepters already have one, n the other don’t use ’em. But it was salvagable, got 2 ectos out of it.

Is this what you mean, or are referring to stuff like the tonics that give you a temporary costume, or what?

To the OP, account bound dungeon drops so they can have a higher drop rate without flooding the market.

To Peetee, only items you need from a dungeon are tokens, which you mainly get upon completion of an exp path, and not what the OP was referring to.

For example, the Exotic Fractals weapon skins that get awarded randomly, as well as the exotics that come out of the chests…they are always account-bound.

Not all of them, only the karma gear looking ones, i get plenty of exotics from fractals that i sell.

or the runes from all the various dungeon chests…theres a ton of examples, not just exotics. My issue is with anything that drops as account-bound – the vast majority of it is useless to me, so i’d like to be able to sell it on the TP.

I second this, it is really dumb to not be able to even salvage them.

Only problem I see here is transmuting.
After getting Sunrise, I’m sitting with a useless Greatsaw, not able to transfer it to my warrior. or even sell the skin back on TP.

transmute it to a white/blue item, this item will be account-bound. you can then transmute it again onto one of your warrior’s weapons.
