Since when do infinite subachievements count towards the meta achievement? Change this immediately, since we only have time till January 12.

They don’t. No fear. You need I think 18 of the achievements, which gives you 3 to spare after the four infinite ones that won’t count.

Wait…are you saying that they count more than once?

The infinite achievements do count, but only the first time you do them.

Have a look at the screenshots below. In the first one I have 15/18 complete and you can see the achievements I haven’t done. In the second I have 16/18 and the only change is that The Bells of Wintersday (complete 30 songs) has been completed, reset and is marked as ‘New’.

So you can’t get the meta achievement by completing 540 Bell Choir songs (30 × 18), but you can get it by doing the 4 repeatable achievements once each and then any 14 others.

In the 3rd screenshot you can see I completed the meta achievement without doing Connoisseur of Confection, Festive Imbiber or Golden Generosity. Since there’s only 23 achievements total (not counting the meta) either the repeatable ones or the dailies had to have counted towards it.

also if you click on the meta achievement for more info, it shows a checklist of the other achievements that you have credit for, meaning it counts the repeatable ones once.

Well, I’ve 17/18 done. And 1 run of repeatable Toypocalypse done, but meta isn’t complete. So, I’m not sure how exactly those repeatable ones count, Toypocalypse doesn’t, for me anyway.

Just completed the Bells, all 7 sets of 30 songs each and it didn’t count toward the Seasoned Toymaker achievement. Stuck at 17/18 so took the time to do it and nothing… really!!!
What a waste! So disappointed.

The repeatable achievements should count once, just not each time it gets repeated. At least I’m pretty sure I got credit for it. I got the meta achievement and never even set foot in the snowball mini-game.

I know they counted for me because I wasn’t expecting them to and got the meta achievement way sooner than I was expecting. They only do count once though.

They absolutely count. Here’s my completed meta. The Bells of Wintersday is on its 6th round, Toypocalypse Survivor on its 3rd, I did Snowball Mayhem in one batch of 30 (and on finishing the 30th got the meta complete), and have yet to get past the snowflakes in the JP so I have zero JP completions at all, ever. As you can see I have not completed either of the ingestion ones. I got Grawnk last year so either it counted as a freebie or isn’t part of the meta this year for me.

edit: I just tried the JP again and made it to the campfire! Then missed the first leap onto a white present. But I still have no JP completions.

The repeatable ones didn’t count more than once for me…

Oh, they only count once, like everyone’s said. That once, however, is key to getting the meta if you can’t JP and don’t have the means to acquire all the food and drink.

Grawnk doesn’t count if you did it last year.

Well it hasn’t counted for me. Still no check mark in the List in the Seasoned Toymaker achievement. Still at 17/18. Never been able to complete the JP so doing 1 of the repeatable was my only way to get the Seasoned Toymaker achievement.
Never seen a screen shot with the check mark beside any of the repeatable.

When you finish the repeatable achievements, they reset back to 0, but your meta count should have gone up. Everyone else’s has.

I just looked, and I do not have checkmarks for any of the repeatable ones, even though I did some of them many many times. I do know, however, that they did count for me, since I did get the meta completion upon completing choir for the 30th time.
So, even though it doesn’t register a checkmark in the meta, it still counts for the meta completion.

So.. is this qq about easier achievement acquisition? That also happens to be false.

Finished the meta-achievement last night, after grinding out 30 games of Snowball Mayhem. It got to the point where one of my teammates was so bleeegh of the grind that he started running gifts to the other team to end the matches faster.

Either the infinite Toypocalypse doesn’t count or Grawnk doesn’t count if it was completed last year, I don’t remember the count before completing the Toypocalypse one the first time. The infinite bell choir did count since it incremented from 16/18 to 17/18. Either way misleading UI on the meta achievement.

If that is the case for some people then there is definitely a bug in the achievement. I sat at 17 of 18 and did at least 2 rounds of toypocalypse (30 lvls each) achievements and 2 of the bell choir farming presents and did not get it. I had to do the Claw of Jormag for the 18th tick on the main achievement.

Hello there, had the same issue you had.. was stuck at 17/18 and was unable to do the jp, and drinks and canes where out of question for me…. ..repeated bells multiple times but didn’t counted anymore .. .what I did was the snowball mayhem, took a but finally finished the 30 runs… if you are done with that as well you might be missing a less straightforward achievement that is doable… maybe it’s the claw of Jormag… just kill that guy during this season and you’ll be golden

Only the 4 repeatable, drinks, Candy Cane and JP aren’t completed. All the rest is done.
I just got the official word from Anet; even though the 4 repeatable are listed as counting they are not counting and it will remain that way. So I wont be able to complete that achievement. Very disappointing that they wont respect their own information.
