Achievement Skins Soulbound
Oh man, there is going to be 20 of these threads today.
Go to the achievements tab, click zenith weapon, click withdraw.
You can do this as many times as you want. Just like the HoM skins.
You see, this system is better than account bound.

Brilliant. Thank you mate.
Did I miss where it said this somewhere?

Yes, on the achievement tab. People neglect to read the achievement tab…..

Yes. Bring mouse over the zenith skin, look at the tooltip. It explains you get more of them from achievement panel.
But where does it explain this before you accept?
But where does it explain this before you accept?
A valid question.
I don’t think I made it clear enough in the OP when I used past tense
which is why I’m annoyed as the skins did NOT say they were soulbound on purchase ANYWHERE

You didn’t purchase them. You unlocked them on your account and it immediately rewarded you with one of them. You have an infinite amount that you can “withdraw” from your achievement panels by hitting the button labeled… withdraw.
they did say they were soulbound on purchase, that is the reason because before i realize i could have as many of them i switched toon to gave it to the right one…

Where does it say that please?
when i opened the chest and asked me to select a skin under the descriptio there was written soulbound on aquire

The skin is soulbound on acquire. It can be acquired by every character multiple times. When applied to an item, it follows the same rules as transmutation. If the item has a binding on X, it will become bound. If it doesn’t, it will become accountbound.
Ok, don’t think I’m being clear enough lol.
BEFORE you accept the PA where does it say it’s soulbound?
Afaik, you only know it’s soulbound AFTER you’ve accepted it, or if you look it up online.
well, i don’t know what’s your problem, i opened the chest and i knew they were soulbound on aquire, i didn’t search it on the wiki, so i don’t know how to help u and where to point you out. anyhow, it’s not really an issue since you can purchase tons of them for ever and ever

On the item itself. If you cared to select it and read the description before choosing.

How does it matter? You can open up the achievement menu on any character and take any number of copies of the skin for that character. If you accidentally took the skin on a character that can’t use it, you can just destroy that one, because you can create as many of that skin as you want on any character you want.
Wow!
Not having a go here peeps :/
Just pointing out it’s a little confusing when you first get the reward because nothing states how it works until AFTER you’ve paniced because all you see it “Soulbound on purchase”
A little explanation before hand wouldn’t do any harm would it?
On the item itself. If you cared to select it and read the description before choosing.
And yeah, some not getting my point
Feels the flames
Like I said, it will appear if you take the time to look at the rewards.

If you just power through and pick whatever then loot it, you’re going to make a mistake or get lost. It happens all the time with dungeon rewards.
Stop being impatient.
This was NOT explained clearly at all prior to unlocking zenith items. It’s not even done clearly after you unlock the items.
It is unfortunate but ArenaNet continues to have problems properly communicating their game mechanics to their players. It’s like they expect their players to have telepathy and just read the minds of the designers. They did this back in GW1 and while it is somewhat better in GW2 things like this show they still don’t understand how to clearly document and explain their (often non-intuitive) mechanics in the game.
Write it down so people can see it. No mouse-overs. Explain new systems like this in detail in game mails, on the forums, on the wiki, in the blogs and whatever social media (or at least provide links to the explanations).
Yes this takes extra work. Budget for it because it is essential. It is a basic responsibility of designers not only to come up with mechanics but to explain them. If you don’t properly do the latter, it doesn’t matter how cool the mechanics might be.
ArenaNet seems to be catching onto this now that they are finally implementing a tutorial for starter characters. They need to understand this has to be applied to all levels of the game when they bring in new systems.
I am glad that any character can unlock them but I would have made different choices if I had known this was an option.
