Hi all,

I have a idea about the achievements, allot players dont like all the game content, and dont like to do some achievements because they dont like it so much.

Thats why i was thinking for a system that offer you to change a 100% completed achievement for a other achievement thats worth same points and cost the same effort.

This way all players can get faster achievement points with the game play they like, so players that like pvp can do all day pvp, who like pve can do all day pve, who like fractals can do all day fractals, who like w vs w can do all day w vs w, who like eotm can do all day eotm. who like dung can do that all day, etc.

I think allot players will like this so they can play what they like most and also get rewarded for it.

Of course you can also make a option button whats easier to make to redo the same achievements with a maximum of 5 times.

The point of this is for me and other players to get more fun playing the game how you like it, and also get the achievement points and rewards.

I think its not fair if you spend10 or 20 or more hours a week at what you like and dont get any reward in achievements for it.

I hope all who like it make a message/reply so every one can see how many want it, also tell to friends if they like it to reply it.

Thanks for reading and your time.

Kind regards,

NINJAWARRIOR

You don’t have to get achievements. Or for that matter, you don’t have to play the game. If you don’t like something, just don’t do it. It’s a game: it should be about fun.

Achievements are just a nice way to track… what you have achieved. They wouldn’t make sense anymore if they would track something you haven’t done.

I would change Svanir’s Bane (10ap) for Legendary Collector(10ap), since how you would measure that is harder than other to acquire ?

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

wouldnt that completely destroy the sense of what an Achievement is?

What would you want to have that achievmeent for if you know you didnt deserve it and you actually didnt achieve anything then? what is the point then?

i think maybe an ingame LFG page for Players helping Players would be nice though
(could be further separated for help with achievements, general explaining of mechanics, …)

Yes, I think so.

It’s true that many achievements can be cheesed (teleports, work-arounds, skips, glides, etc) and it’s true that many feel like grind or luck. Still, to the extent that they mean anything at all…they mean you actually went to the trouble of figuring out how to get credit in some way, shape, or form.

Plus: can you imagine the bookkeeping to track what you’ve finished for real versus what you’ve traded? And wow, the mind boggles thinking about the nightmare that would be customer service: “why didn’t I receive credit for ____?”

You forgot the most heinous part: how easy it would be to get Yakslapper.

Sounds like a terrible suggestion. Just because 2 achievements give 10 AP does not mean they are equal of difficulty.

1st person worldwide to reach 35,000 achievement points.

Sorry OP but -1 here.

The point of different achievements is to address depth of the game. The achievement system is simply a way to give a player a little more feeling that their time was spent in game doing a variety of activities. If you just allowed people to reassign points to other achievements people would find the most simple achievements and then repeat them until they maxed everything out. And then they would come to the forums and ask ANet about what’s next. Achievements do not block any part of the game so its up to people to say is doing that activity worth it. If its not then that’s their choice, but it doesn’t mean they are entitled to saying they did achieve it if they in fact did not.

In short achievements should require sort of effort else they have even less value then they do now.
