Okay I got my 100 point chest today and I see the retroactive is once per day.

The line of chests show 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500. I have 3,842 points, will I get all those rewards then to 2500 or does it keep adding points to the total: 100, 600, 1600 etc.

If people do get all of them to 2500 what about above that? Some people have 8 k…

my guess is the further along the line you get the higher chests show, so in 5 days it will start with 3000 etc etc…

So the 500 point chest with the actual permanent account rewards is tomorrow?

So that´s why nobody has the permanent bonus.

and a chest was in my inventory with a load of boosters a revive orb and repair can…

soooo looks like I got 100ap and 500ap today….

No you only got the 100 point chest, you only get one reward per day if you look on your achievment and hover your mouse over the 500 point chest it shows the 1% magic bonus. If you got the 500 point chest it would show over there on account bonuses the magic increase

Well I´ll wait with my “OMG 500 Chest is bugged” whine-thread till tomorrow then.

Has anyone actually seen this 100 point chest? Every reference I can find states chests start at 500, and are rewarded in increments of 500. Anyone have less than 100 Achievement Points to verify there is such a chest?

I’m confused as to how this works. It’s not very well explained in-game. Say I have 5000 points. Do I then get my retroactive chests like: day 1: 100 pt chest, day 2: 500 pt chest, day 3: 1000 pt chest etc etc, and after 2500 there will be a 3000 one etc going up to 5000? Or, do I get the 100 pt chest, then 500 etc and it all adds up to my 5000 points, meaning i will get 100+500+1000+1500+2000=5100 achieve points?

And how does it work with new points I earn. Will i get a 100 pt chest for every 100 achieve points i get, and for every 500 I get the 500 one and so on? Meaning for 500 points i get 6 chests total?

The first chest you receive shows that it is the 100 point chest in the loot window.

Right, so I’ll get a chest everyday untill I’ve caught up with my total points. And I’ll get chests every 100, 500, 1000 I earn from now on? Am I right?

I may just be slow, but for me Anet did a bad job explaining anything about this update.. Like the new stuff with crafting mats, where can I access info about this? (I know about Dulfy, but I’d like to get enough info ingame to know what the hell I’m supposed to do)

Very unlikely. It’ll just be every 500. The 100 point chest is probably just to help new people with some stuff. That 1g certainly would have helped with the trait books …

Hm, maybe. What’s weird though is, say you get a chest every 500, what happens when you get to 1000, do you get a 500 one AND a 1000 one? Same goes for 2000, in theory you should get 3 chests at 2000 then.

After some research, it seems it works as such:

You are rewarded at every 500 point benchmark. Depending on what your total points are, you will be rewarded with the appropriate point level chest. It is just confusing while we catch up to our point level. If you have, say…3864 points, you will be rewarded (on consecutive days, starting tomorrow) a 500 pt. chest, a 1000 pt. chest, a 1500 pt. chest, a 2000 pt. chest, a 2500 pt. chest, a 3000 pt. chest, and finally a 3500 pt. chest. The next chest you receive will be a 4000 pt. chest, on whatever day you hit the 4000 point benchmark.

At least, this seems to be how it will work, from what I gathered reading here and there.

There ought to be a separate guide to the new system, clear, authoritative and written by Anet, the same as all the other links for the New Living World content.

The fact that BotFW is basically Temp jumping content (do these people all commute to work on Pogo Sticks for Christ’s sake?), and this new Achievement Point Reward system is a Permanent addition with a lot more long term importance to the whole player base, really is demonstrative of the gross inconsistencies in standards of presentation among the various teams at Anet.

So if I understand this correctly.

I have 3,996 points and I will get the chests up untill it reaches my achievement points without getting all those points overnew? One chest a day, right?

Yes, you’ll be getting 1 chest per day for the next 7 days. Probably 8 since I assume you can get those 4 points in 7 days.

Not really.

It´s so confusing right now as you´re only shown your future 5 chests. I guess once everybody gets their 500 chest we get to preview what´s in the 3000 one.

What I´m wondering right now is if the chest comes with the new daily.
Only 36 more minutes to find out.
