Hi AN,

Please add more heavy armor that doesn’t look so heavy.

I like minimalist looks, and it’s quite hard to achieve, because heavy armor is either too bulky or reflective.

Or you could make it so I could transmute all of my armor to look like light armor.

I might get rewarded an even darker shade of the abyss dye that turns my heavy armor into light looking armor xD

I agree. Until recently my only heavy armour character was a female asura, and on them a lot of the armour seems to be a lot more ‘sleek’ and less bulky.

I now have a male sylvari and norn too and on the norn especially it’s a bit absurd. Scaling it up is one thing but shoulders which just cover my asura’s shoulders reach to my norns elbow, and they’re bigger as well as longer which means they look absurdly huge.

It would be really nice to have some smaller or at least less bulky options.

Abyss will stare back, Shadow Abyss will steal your wallet while you’re not paying attention.

While it might be nice to design heavy armor that looks like light, there’s considerations. One is that all the light armor wearers would be upset if a heavy armor get “their armor.” And if ANet made an identical set for all, then I’m sure posts would be made about lazy ANet making one set for all 3 instead of one unique set for each. And then there’s how light and heavy looking armor would look if combined.

Mix and match is not what I want… That screenshot proves it’d allow people to have crazy looks.

I want to be able to wear a different category of armor. If I choose light, I wear light armor skins

I also need medium armor that doesn’t suffocate or weight me down and has no dangly parts that get stuck on trees, bushes, fences, etc. I’m a male and have enough dangly parts of my own, I don’t need my armor to add more. I need light tight fitting armor.

It is heavy armor. It should look like heavy armor. Otherwise use one of the silly outfits or dont play a heavy armor class.

Ah, it looks like I misunderstood.

I thought this was about having a wider selection of less bulky heavy armour, like the scale and AC sets. Something that doesn’t have huge chunks of metal or spikes sticking out but also isn’t completely plain.

That’s what I want. It’s fine if it’s still made mostly/entirely of metal (although we do already have heavy armour that looks like it’s made of leather and cloth, like Braham’s armour).

My fav armor for female heavy is the Aetherblade set, looks pretty much like thick leather with metal accents.

My Revenant dresses light for mobility and flexibility.
He’s made of wood and has nothing to hide. Seraph Chest is like 95% fabric, with what little is there. XD
