GW2 has a lot of Brazilian players , and most of them can not speak , read or translate the ??available languages in-game .

After four years of existence, what you, ArenaNet, think about giving us, brazillians, a lil bit of attention?

Suggestion: add Portuguese (BR) version of the game!

We need the entire game translated, conversations and subtitles in Portuguese (BR).

Show you care about us, ANET.

People have brought up the same argument for other languages currently not supported by Anet. The consensus is that the cost verses the payoff is probably not worth it. It costs a lot of money to hire voice actors to translate into a new language and more cost for others to translate the text. Not that it is an impossible idea, but in order for Anet to do so I imagine they would have to see enough interest and potential increase in income to engage in such a project.

The fact that they have not done a Portuguese translation after almost 4 years tells me that there are maybe not enough Portuguese speaking players to make it worth the cost and effort.

It’s a chicken/egg problem. Quite possible that PC gaming in general doesn’t do well enough in Brazil in terms of income to encourage companies to do a localization there which then may improve sales and in turn make it worth while. Ideal general solution is for games to allow at least expose a method for 3rd party localization mod for text.

But that is often a decision at design time and not something added later.
