I seem to be confused…

My understanding was that Ascended items would now be account bound rather than soulbound. I just upgraded my Spinal Blades backpack to Ascended… but if I go to apply an infusion, it tells me that doing so will soulbind the item.

Is this a glitch or is it working as intended? Did I misunderstand how this new setup with Ascended gear being account bound, works?

Can someone point me in the direction of where clarification on this might be found?

Thanks everyone for the input. I went ahead and added the infusion, and despite the misleading text that said it would make it soulbound, the item remained account bound.

Not sure about infusions, but a soulbind warning popup shows up for me when applying runes/sigils on ascended weapons/armor. The end result is still account bound, not soulbound

I’d say it’s old text the never changed. My infused ascended trinkets are account bound.

To be safe I would move the backpiece to the char you want it on, and have that char apply the infusion.
