Guild Wars 2

So i find that the biggest problem that i face at the moment is trying too find a party to go into a dungeon with my main problem is that i am constantly supressed and wondered if AN had any plans on introducing a Dungeon/[party finder like they had in the previous guildwars. Im sure plenty of other people would agree with me that this is one of the most frustrating problems that i face with the game xD

I’m absolutely against an automatic dungeon finder, but having a party search interface similar to GW1 or how games like Star Trek Online handle it would be welcome.

I personally would love a group finding feature, maybe not an auto-grouping feature, but something that has some filters to it (dungeon, event, area, etc.) and allows you to select a party doing something you want and join them (they would also need a lock feature to set parties to private/invitation only).

…because spamming “LFG!” in LA is so conducive to community.

I am actually getting to kind of like the ad hoc LA lfg channel.

It adds to the social aspect of the game that chatting and lfg happen by necessity in the same space. You have people to talk to while you’re waiting, and you’re encouraged to be a little bit friendlier than just a bare-bones “lfg ac”.

The only issue is when people are suppressed for chatting too often – this is the only “lfg” system you’ve given, let us use it! People should be banned only for spamming every few seconds, not for repeat requests over the course of a few minutes.

I came late to the game despite pre-purchasing it and playing in the beta and no one ever plays the old dungeons, especially story mode. Is it too much to ask to experience the other main story of the game?!

I’m in a guild in case you ask but they never do anything but that dungeon that cannot be named. If anyone knows a guild on Gunnars Hold that does regular old dungeon runs then please let me know cos the lack of dungeon finder is kiling the game for me.

This is a very nice idea, which was addressed multiple times in the suggestion forum.

I dont want LFG I could care less about it you have new content the fractals I have bunkus I want a new zone or the new zone they gave us revamped I need new content with new exciting rewards maybe you ought to let some others have some focus in game before you start asking for more

Just wanted to add: LFG’ing for hours at a time to find parties to do unpopular dungeons (Uldaman, BRS) was ultimately the reason I stopped playing WoW. That was not my idea of something I should pay a monthly fee for. An LFG posting system helps but you still need willing players, and if they couldn’t be found amongst the 9 million players on WoW, I think this aspect of GW2 is going to get much worse over time.

Even though GW2 doesn’t charge for time, eventually, these modes are going to need to scale or this game is going to have as much useless, unplayable content as WoW did, and that’s a very big problem to me, because I’m a content person. GW1 of course has a brilliant system that let you use AI parties to do any dungeon you want, whenever you want.
