Looking for a simple answer that I can’t seem to find anywhere – Are the advanced gathering tools offered from the Laurel Vendor slightly more effective at gathering resources (quality and/or quantity per node), or do they simply offer more uses (250 vs 100)?

I’m debating whether or not it’s worth buying these in combination with gathering / swiftness banner + booster. Thank you for reading.

Even if they do give some extra benefit, are they worth the cost?

Each is 2 laurels each or 6 T6 mats worth about 30silver each. Which means their effective cost is 1.8 gold for one tool versus 4 silver or 350 karma. The 4 silver/100 uses is 4copper/use. The 1.8gold/250 uses is 72copper/use.

So, as an example, if you mine iron ore at 1.4 silver each, the 72 copper cost means you only got 68copper’s worth of iron. Mats worth less than 72 copper are actually costing you to harvest.

Cost wise you are better off with the 4 silver ones and carrying an extra set. You can even buy each type with karma if you want to save even more.
