I have yet to see someone wearing it. Just saying. How unpopular was it really?

Considering it was poorly implemented and it could only be purchased as a full set (many wanted just one or two pieces, or even a bunch of one or two pieces), I don’t expect sales were as great as they could have been. (see my sig for a suggestion for ArenaNet and feel free to comment)

I bought one heavy set and am using only 2 pieces of it on a warrior alt that I rarely play any more (due to recent pvp changes that broke skills there and in pve). So perhaps, as with my case, people that did purchase the skins used them on a lesser-played alt and not on a character they play often.

However, I have actually seen several Asura out and about in the full heavy sets on Eredon Terrace, as well as a few players with a single piece or two mixed into their character’s styles.

My Ausra guardian is currently wearing a set. I love it.

I’ve seen about 15 people wearing them since they were introduced. And I have one myself.

I don’t think a lot of people were fond of the skins.
They are too goofy.

I have one, but I’m waiting on using it (I don’t mind the full set, but all my armorsets are combinations, so I’m waiting until I can make my full set, although I ran out of Transcrystals so… :S)

It looks so dreadful. The design isn’t tooooo bad, but the way it handles the dyes just ruined it for me. I tried it on my Sylvari (Ele) and just no, I couldn’t

I’ve seen a number of people in it, including guildmates. Our GM is in the medium because it’s perfect for his zany engineer. I have the light helm on my asura mesmer now, and my human necro has the light top and skirt and gloves. She doesn’t wear it everywhere, she just has a huge wardrobe and it’s part of that now.

I’d have the female heavy on someone except my street rat won’t wear it and my sylvari guardian has a look already.

Issue with Aetherblades armor (survey across guild/friends): it’s horrible.

I put it on my mesmer and love it.

I have a set on my charr engineer. She wears all of it but the gloves and the helmet.

It’s pretty ugly. I only bought mine for the light male chest piece.

It’s a crying shame really, next set of armor will be in gamble boxes I guess

Yeah, they dropped a stinky. Let’s give them a chance to recover and learn from it before we ask them to go firing people. Remember the unlimited scythe? It took them a couple tries, but it came out awesome in the end.

They may have to scramble a bit to make changes, and the lessons learned will not show up for a bit, but give them a chance to learn, please?

…. and if they don’t learn, then give them hell.

I like them and have a set on almost all my alts. I do mix and match a bit on some alts though.

I’ve seen a female Norn Warrior who turns up to all the big chest given events on my server wear it. saw a random female Ranger wearing it and seen a couple using bits and pieces here and there.

my asura ele is wearing the boots, shoulders and head – It’s wonderful getting shoes other than the racial ones that fit

I’m thinking of putting the chest and legs on my necromancer for pvp since she has nothing.

I’ve got a set that I’m happy with on my Asuran Engineer. The hat is a bit weird (it looks like you are wearing a bra on the back of your head), but the rest of it is suitably steampunky.

I bought the heavy set but only use just the boot skin. While i don’t like the armour skin as set, i think some pieces are really well done and cool.

I have a medium set on my engineer. Its look seems to fit.

I’d buy it if I wore medium armor ._.

one of them makes female norn look fat but looks great in the screenshot….if you look at the difference between the screenshot and the preview you can see it alter your character’s appearance…. i already hate how armour often reduces breast size on female norn/female sylvari (another thing they haven’t corrected btw).

Yeah, they are pretty rare. So far I’ve only seen one other player, a human male engineer with the same medium set as mine. I’ve posted this before in the other aetherblade armor thread, I’m using it on my engineer and I think it looks absolutely adorable. The neck ribbon is a really nice touch.

I bought a set for my thf, but I’ll be switching out that awful helmet for asura T3 cultural.

I’m not sure why everyone dislike it so much. I use the heavy one on my human guardian, I love it and I feel like some kind of awesome pulsefire-Ezreal (League of Legends) like character when I use it

Got one for my human Thief. I dig it, but I wish the goggles were down. What I reeeeeealy want would be to have the light version on my thief, like a steampunk James Bond. Ah well, I’m not disappointed with what I got.

But she’s not, she wears light. And unfortunetly, ANET failed so unbelievably kitten the light aetherblade armour. Its just ugly. And its another kitten skirt. Dont anyone at ANET wear pants?!?!

I like it a lot, but only on certain races, so not all my alts wear it. I see several people in game (on Aurora Glade) wearing it though.

you may not have read my post but female norn’s in heavy look fat. so you aren’t missing out. a skinny norn female might work if you chose it. not really sure tho

I think there are a couple issues with the sets:

1. Some of them are just fugly looking.
2. Using them on your actual armor will lock them down to one character.
3. A lot of people just want one or two pieces.
4. Locked down via armor class to the point that a lot of people can’t get the one they want.
5. WAY too expensive. To get all three sets would cost you $30(Note: This is around what I paid for the game itself back in December)

Any combination of these factors is more than enough reason not to get the sets. As much as I want them, I don’t have an extra $30 to waste on skins that I can’t really get full usage out of across my characters.

The preview on heavy look absolutely fantastic on my Norn female. But as I said, still the wrong armour type. And light look like something you’d find at Oktoberfest. Granted, I already carry Ambrosia and barely have any clothes on, but that’s beside the point. Its still bad.

If they implemented armor into the game as actual drops you’d see more of it. Instead, we have to pay gems to get something that should be a part of the game.

The only saving grace is that they didn’t hide them inside RNG boxes.

When are we going to get new armor introduced into the loot tables of dungeons, zones, events, world bosses, etc? A brand new dungeon and none of the new armor is dropped in it. <sigh>

I wouldn’t say ugliest, but they are definitely ugly for the most part. I could see some pieces fitting in with a mix-and-match set, but as a full set, PU.
