So a few hours after the new preview all the aetherized hammers were gone off the TP and then jacked up to 1200g. It’s pretty obvious why.

One of my friends who was gone out of the game came back and was really discouraged by this (his engi has all the aetherized weps), but thought at least he could buy/farm keys and eventually get it from BL tickets….. unfortunately it is retired.

Please bring back aetherized weps to the BL trading man for a limited time at least please! Its very easy for TP flippers to corner the market on something which no one can get access too.

Lovestruck weapons only just came back to being purchaseable with tickets, you will have to wait.

Ya, but lovestruck is for valentines day. So I wasn’t 100% sure aetherized would return. Plus “they’ll come back sometime” is small consolation to my aether-lovin friend

Yeah, they will all apparently come back for a limited time at some point, they don’t like divulging that schedule though. :c

The aetherized weapons were probably the best weapons ever made – they are creative and totally fir to all the steampunk and or engi classes out there. I wish they came back for the shield, pistol, rifle, axe and ofc HAMMER

I thought about the Aether-hammer when I saw the video as well. I tried previewing it on my Large body Norn.
Yeah it was cool with the pistons and the steam, but it didn’t look good (to me) when stowed (far, far too big).
I then tried the Mechahammer skin (which I have). A lot of Engi’s were/are talking about that. Again, it didn’t fit my character’s look – besides, when my warrior hammers-it-up, he goes Mecha.
Previewing in the wardrobe helped me to find what I was looking for – The Adamant Guard hammer is the ticket for me. Industrial enough to fit my Engineer, cheap enough to not break my bank (63K karma is a drop to my 3 million)

That being said – I’d buy the Aetherhammer if it came out again. It’s so unique that I couldn’t pass it up.
I sure as hell won’t pay TP prices for it though.

I have the Aetherized hammer. And it is so awesome. So so awesome.

But to the original OP, its nice of you to create a post for your friend.

Well… it may not be the aetherized hammer, but the new weapons we saw in the trailer seemed to fit the class pretty well, so looks like we can still find some nice looking matching weapons.

Haha, I guess I want my friend to come back to play GW, and I felt his pain when he was like “oh ya, that one skin I was excited about got bumped way up by prospecters…qq.” He doesn’t use the forums

Were aether weps 5 or 7 tickets before they took them away? I regret not getting the pistol/shield way back when but engi is not one of my mains.

Ya some other gear hammers are cool, but he (at the time) bought every wep an engi could possibly use (shield, pistol, rifle and UW wep), so he really wanted to complete the set.

Guess I just have to tell him to save his tickets, and hopefully they come back before he despairs too much of GW2 inflation!
