After 30 days of playing GW2 and completing roughly about 300 tasks between 3 characters, I JUST realized that upon task completion, you get money AS A REWARD in your inbox. And I missed out on all of them simply because I didn’t know. GG talk about screwing yourself :/

Am I the only one who never knew about this?

Oh wow sorry man I find it hard not to notice the big red “1” icon over my mail icon when I get mail, but that’s just me….

Well, the nice thing is, you now have a big lump sum to spend.

I realized after like a week. Luckily I hadn’t paid enough attention to my inbox to delete the emails either.

haha sour about that! It took me about 2 weeks to realize if you went back to the heart quests they had karma rewards :S haha but having 5,900 karma and THEN realizing it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing :P

Yea I always noticed the red “1” icon and always checked my mail after tasks so that those red indicators can go away. But it never crossed my mind that the game would mail me money, because for dynamic events, the money reward automatically goes into my inventory.

Anyway, is there a way to go through and check all of my mails? lol. It seems to only show 15 most recent ones

I thought it was extremely obvious when one received mail, with the ‘1’ above mail, just as when a new trait opens.

Guess it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a big finger point to it when it happens within the starter area the first time.

Ouch. That was actually one of the first thing I noticed when I started playing. :|

I only ever got 1-2s for each one anyway. Not much of a loss but every little bit helps.

I had this happen to me in the beta… I was like, “Why am I so poor!” then I facepalmed.

Just curious, how was the gigantic mail ignored? You know, the one that splashes on the screen for the first time?

In retrospect, I did forget some mail coming to me since I was too busy killing stuff. Maybe ANet should make it obvious by having a mail icon dance near the mini-map.

You’re lucky, during my first BWE I just read the mails and deleted’em afterwards… without taking the money.
