After having to crawl all over the place in GW1,
i don’t get why Anet didn’t introduce mounts already in that game.

Do the right thing Anet, do whatever you have to do, make Mounts behind a paywall, make them a VIP member item only, make them cashshop only, whatever.

No, no and no.

Just saying “no” to using WP’s doesn’t make them anymore viable. They can get you around a map faster than any reasonable mount can.

Also there’s a reason why mounts would break something like WvW, there’s a reason why it’s intentional for you to have to and from objectives. So please see beyond your desire to ride some absurd attention grabbing mount and look at things from a design standpoint.

This game have to little maps for mounts is already loading screen after loading screens will be nice to have but i think are useless like minis.

They can’t even render players minis on a busy map. I can imagine that would be a big problem with mounts too.

Lvl 90 is too early I think, but lvl 100 seems more appropriate. Also, you have to win an epic death-fight against the mount before it will listen to your little whims…(Avatar style)….and if you fail, your character gets deleted!

Ok, an epic fight. But you can’t get downed or killed ofcourse, that would be way too overwhelming.

OK, I want to start off saying I am a huge fan of guild wars and guild wars 2. I think Guild wars 2 was the right step in the right direction minus the grinding. However I picked up Archeage because it has mounts and ships something I quested since guild wars 1. I still think that guild wars 2 is the best looking and the must beautiful MMo on the market. The only thing that guild wars2 has over Arcehage for me is character customization. Arcehage does not have enough darker skin tones and afros.I like playing all my characters looking like me because I am black. Also archeage is not as beautiful as guidlwars2. I still may login to do the story of guild wars 2.

That being said I am invested money into star citizen and I also a huge fan of bio-ware. Looking forward to trying shadow realms. I may pick up destiny if it comes to pc. I am more a sifi guy than medevil fantasy

No. GW2 is fine without mounts, and would be terrible with them.

I am anti-mount to the core, but he brings up an excellent point. Is there any way to get a permanent passive speed boost below level 15 any more? Traits were already pushed to level 30, and you have to track down the ones you want if you don’t want to pay for them. Now you have to level farther to get access to your utility skill slots.

A resounding NO TO MOUNTS! Maps are waaaaaaaaay to TEENY-TINY and we have WPs if you are that lazy to beat feat.
