So after I reach lvl 80 and came to Orr (Cursed Shore) and that freaking zone almost like a dead zone, it’s impossible to do anything like temples assaults (Grenth, Melandru, Arah). While all starter zone (lvl 1 ~ 15) are PACKED with all lvl 80 farming events there. Is that how gw2 endgame open world pve focus on level 1~15 zones?

They are working on fixing some orr issues because they are not as intended. In the mean time there is always living story, and guesting to a larger server who may have better luck on the DE’s in Orr.

Depends on the server – some have this as an issue, others don;t. Part of the issue is that people wait for it to start rather than organsing groups. And the difficulty of the bosses, which is ironic considering the calls to toughen bosses up..

However, there is a design flaw, which is in part due to the success of things like living story etc which is pulling people away. After the initial run around Orr and the personal story runs its course for most players, coming back to Orr has little gain. Constantly pulling people back to Orr as well is counter to the story – I think this was always going to be an issue having culminated the Zhaitan part of our adventure so soon. I really expected this to take a year, not a couple of months. Hopefully a lesson learned for future Dragons.

They can always fix things. They just need to say we fought a simple minion sent to test our strength and the real Zaithan is still hidden, waiting to strike for real (which would explain why we are still overrun by risen).

Why fix the Necromancer for free when we can charge $$$ for the Revenant

Yak’s Bend tends to be pretty active. Heck, even the Lyssa shrine was open just a couple nights ago and someone is always trying to open Grenth.

Orr seems pretty underwhelming.

It was promised as a no-quest land where events would keep firing so it’d be an endgame. Problem is that events really don’t fire that rapidly except in a few places, like shelter and pertinent where people hang around anyways. In reality, there’s huge swaths of Orr where nobody goes to, because while their might be events, there generally singular. and you’d have to navigate past hordes of annoying enemies just to get there.

It really needs more meta-events. Straits of Devastation is a good example where there’s 3 sets. If there were harder meta events that even ended in a small chest (don’t need those big ones), it’ll at least encourage me and others to go along, but these days it’s just better to run past them and save me the frustration.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Orr is simply not working at present. I play on a populated server with plenty of people but most of the action is in mapchat around considering Anet and speculating on “what were they thinking”. If you are thinking of temple fights I’d wait till they are fixed. In terms of karma farming, plinx works and pent/shelt is mostly doable, though completely annoying and irritating. When a champ risen wraith spawns just get far, far away and wait for him to despawn.

I would be happy with a Zhaitan not dead story, just dormant again maybe. It was just all too easy and underwhelming. Needed more time to bed in. The presence of Jormag for eg is being felt subtly atm and they can build on this for a year or more before we have to take him down.

Another thing is those lowbies events giving out exact same loots or even better than those lvl 80 events, Why would you spend 20 minutes or more on Grenth due to constantly fail with nobody try to run it? and just power all other world events in other zones in few minutes and 0% change to die by mobs or bosses…I have noticed level 1~15 zones are way over population and zones lv20+ are completely dead most of the time minus zones that has world boss event then it will have some active near bosses spawn time after that it’s become a dead zone until next spawn. GW2 map is huge but why making the game only playable in level 1 ~15 zones, It’s a messed up mechanic game right there….
