Alduin would try to eat Zhaitan’s world. However!

Zhaitan would attempt to acquire the souls of the dead in Sovngarde by finding their corpses and in doing so, might be able to learn Dragonrend.

Dragonrend may not work for Zhaitan as it wants, however, what with it being a dragon: would it end up faceplanting itself?

It would have to use the dead Gormlaith and cohorts and give them voice to Dragonrend Alduin. It knows what its minions know, so this might be possible. However, it would have to locate the burial site of said nords, and given that it’s in Tyria, not on holiday in Skyrim, I’m not sure if that would be possible.

Alduin, however, can be anywhere in space and time (right, right?!), so... Mordremoth will entangle Alduin so he can’t fly, Jormag will freeze his bits off, Kralkatorrik will... shoot purple stuff at him (ooh, pretty crystals!!), Steve will be holidaying on a nice desert island and ignoring everyone and finally, Zhaitan will raise Orr a bit higher and drop it on Alduin’s head. Primordus puts on a celebratory barbecue thereafter.

Zhaitan wins!

Infanterie:
Zhaitan – Huge hordes of undead (including eyes and mouths)
Alduin – Draugr (including dragon-priests)

Airforce:
Zhaitan – Dragons (can’t attack while in-flight (Tequatl being the only exception) and therefore either no threat or easy targets for ground-troops)
Alduin – Dragons (confirmed to be weak against giants, which Zhaitan happens to have in his army)

Since the armies are pretty well balanced it all comes down to a 1 vs 1 fight between the two.

Alduin would simply start his meteor-shower and as we all know Zhaitan is allergic to sparcly fireworks. Still, Zhaitan is a lot bigger than Alduin and might chomp him up in one bite before he can activate the meteor-shower. It all boils down to who attacks first.

Unless you have deadly dragons mod installed. Then Alduin wrecks Zhaitan + Army without breaking a sweat.

Alduin, given all Zhaitan is good at is flying around and holding on to buildings.

Mordremoth vs Alduin, however… that could be an interesting encounter.

Hmm one Dragon is the size of a classic Godzilla monster. The other is smaller than Claw of Jormag. Gee I wonder.
