All I want for Christmas is Game Fixes:

• Fix of the LFG Tool
• Fix of the Miniature Achievement to be also retroactively completeable by the old method (best and most simple done by merging the old with the new copied version)
• Fix of the WvW Achievements finally, so that they become doable in a persons Gaming Life Time
• Fix of annoying Thief Bugs, like the Shadow Step Immobilization Bug or the Dagger Storm Bug, that it can be interrupted through Fear, where Stability should prevent this
• Fix of the Necromancer Minion Bug, that they stand only around and attack nothing and that the Flesh Golems Charge attack deals no damage anymore against WvW Gates, while his normal attacks do
• Fix of missing content, that should have been in the game from begin on, how long will Anet let us still wait, till we get to see finally Polymock returning or get to see such announced Activities, like Bar Brawls, whose Achievements were even already once in the game and got later patched out!! Where is Target Shooting in Divinities Reach??
• Fix of lots of Audio Bugs, where either Scouts don’t talk their text, or where certain NPCs in Dungeons for example change their languages from 1 moment of German to the next moment to English (Dredge Dungeon P1 those asuras at the start for example at the first Golem Champ before the battle starts)
• Fix of Charr Footprints, they are seriously since friggin 2 + years no reversed!! Someone should think, that somethign so little should be easily fixable in this time…
• Fix of the other missing collection Achievements for that Hero one, that requires the Champ Loot Bags and make it a players choice, if you want to see hidden achievements, or not …I personally dislike this hidden crap, I want to see whats see and work directly towards it and not be surprised. Let those people,which like such surprise have their hidden achievements. In times of youtube, internet guides ect. are hidden achievements anyways pointless, because once 1 has found out, what exists, minutes later the half world could know it too….

and many more things. But sometimes it are the small and tiny things, that are alot more meaningful, than some big changes and additions….

But you get Wintersday. Again.

The same present at christmas for the third time in a row.

It is like a kid gets the same toy from his/her aunt every year, and she expects him/her to be greatful. Yeah, the family will say, “It is free so just act as if you like it”, but in truth the kid is deeply disappointed.

So thank you ANet for yet another Wintersday! Yay!

All I want for christmas is an expansion pack, or content that’s actually worth my time or new dungeons, anything.
Please Santa, I’ll even give you 49 bucks!

What if I played GW1 and sank thousands of hours on it?

I just want the game to be better than what it is right now. Keep following this train of thought and this game will end up dead, after all the rabid fanboys chase off people that want to provide feedback.

If you love the game clearly you don’t dislike it. There are on the other hand people that have never done anything other than complain about every single thing in the game on these forums, which quite clearly shows that they really dislike the game and should just move on.

I played (and loved) Warcraft 1-3 and yet you don’t see me on the WoW forums complaining about how much it sucks and that they should change everything.

There is a rather large difference between providing feedback and simply hating everything. Many of the people that we see in basically every single thread doesn’t complaining doesn’t really provide any feedback. They just say that everything sucks, without giving any suggestion on how to fix it, or motivate why it sucks.

Warcraft the RTS is related to WoW the MMO just as much as Guild Wars the COORPG is related to Guild Wars 2 the MMO, by the Lore.

So how is your playing GW1 for many hours any more relevant to the GW2 forums than someone playing WC1-3 is to WoW forums?

Son, maybe English isn’t your first language, but this forum is in gasp English, so it’s expected you have some basic reading comprehension.

I was originally talking about how fanboys might chase off people that want to give feedback. Said feedback is related to GW2, not GW1, because this forum is meant for discussion related to GW2. I mentioned GW1 as an offhand comment, showing my support for Arenanet, that way, said rabid fanboys won’t spit vitriol at me thinking I’m a “hater”.

Your analogy is flawed.
It would make sense if you were talking about WoW, the more recent game, as I was talking about GW2, the most recent game.
Since discussion about GW2 is relevant here, it would only make sense that discussion about WoW is only relevant in the WoW forums.
Warcraft and GW1 aren’t relevant, so discussing them in their respective forums is pointless, get it?

Let me put it this way, GW2 is still one of the most popular titles in the west despite the release of a couple of big titles. Most of these titles flopped with ESO being shaky despite the title behind it and Archeage getting raged at because of exploits and pay-to-win aspects. Meaning, that Anet doesn’t even need to do much to compete as the market is empty in the first place. What alot of players don’t realize is that despite how much you hate on forum, saying that the game is empty, the fact is that GW2’s playerbase isn’t anything close to little and there is no reason to go on with desperate strategies and WONDERFUL surprises when the game is already running too well. Players will leave, you say? Well, believe it nor not, all Anet has to do is to release an expansion and it will renew the game’s lifespan for at least 1 more year.

Most MMOs in the market are POOR nowadays, therefore awaiting a game to make your dreams become a reality isn’t realistic. Yes, I would love to agree with you and see Anet react and introduce beautiful content. I would love to see Anet to make me feel the joy of playing this game like I once did when I started. However, I can’t just lie to myself that it will happen because I don’t think it will. All I ask for, realisticly, is an expansion sometime in the future. Aside from that, I don’t await Anet to change alot as the industry isn’t compitive enough to be worth investing extra resources when your original resources are already working.
