All the plants on Tyria screaming at once?
I think most people would feel a great disturbance in Tyria, as if a million voices cried out at once and were suddenly silenced.
At the current plant/tree ratio in relation to the area at approx 50% max volume (considering the natural plant/tree communication frequencies) would result in a resonance of Tyria’s core at a massive scale (or roundabout the equivalent of 126.3 teratons of TNT). This would wake up the long forgotten dark creature slumbering very very deep down ahead of the prophesied schedule of expansion 4.3 with patch 2.
That and the statue of Lion’s Arch might get a crack or two.
Other potential side-effects (pure speculation) might include a major headache for Zommoros.
If you are using high difelity speakers (if you don’t know what that is you don’t have one) you don’t have to worry about them, but your monitor will scatter. People with cheap head sets and speakers do not have to worry as they are not able to replicate the volume and frequency needed.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
What is the point of this… and plants screaming? Does anything make sense anymore?
The only plant that screams, is the nightmare tree in TA.

Would the Sylvari be more attuned to the mass screaming than the other races or would all the races be equally attuned to it?
Would the Sylvari be more attuned to the mass screaming than the other races or would all the races be equally attuned to it?
Wouldn’t that depend entirely on whether the screaming was both psychic and auditory? I think if there were ANY addition of psychic energy to the purely physical audio then the Sylvari would be more attuned to it. If not, then no.
Also: lolwut iz goin on
The Dream is strong with this one.
And
I think the noise will be over 9000.
That’s all I wanted to say.
Only the deaf will eat salads after this.
Only the soundless will eat salads after this.
Fixed that for you.
Questions:
A: In the category plants do you count alge, considering the amout of open water in tyria they probably out number the other plants.
B: What particular plant were you smoking at the time to make you think of this question.
You mean……….. They don’t scream??
The everyone’s sound was turned off, did the plants scream?
I WOULD CR@P MY PANTS!!!
The more important question is ‘WHY’ they are screaming?
Are they singing a chorus?
Is the wall street version of GW2 (i.e. TP) suddenly kittened itself?
Are the plants absorbing too much sinlight thus overexciting them?
Or has ANet not fixed this bug?
Do not click this link!
I believe the last patch made ele’s fire fields and auras more useful… Maybe this is an unintentional way to introduce more build varity, but giving eles more things to burn.

Should the screaming from all of Tyria’s trees and other plants be in happiness and delight or in pain and agony? Or both?
wait wait, you can hear plants / tree’s in game or is this a lore thing?
Ah, I see. The effect would be positive, because:
Survivors of this auditory onslaught would be forced underground for fear of a second occurrence; all races (assuming any Sylvari remain) would have to adapt to a subterranean lifestyle. This, of course, is the precursor to how we will eventually confront and defeat the Elder dragon Primordius.
Effect: positive. Thank you, screaming plants.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Would all the dragons also be affected by the worldwide screaming or would they delight in it?

It would be quite ironic, though, if the underground moss then joined in on the screaming.

I believe the fact that it is a bed of moss means they are in perpetual slumber. The only sound would not be screaming, but snoring.
Well, now I’m afraid to log in. What if I log in and all the plants start screaming? >.>

Precisely. In this case, only the RPers would be effected; the rest of us would be fine.

All the players in game…..

Could some massive world-wide event suddenly reverse that so that the beds of moss change their snoring to screaming while all the other plants of the world change their screaming to snoring?
All the players in game…..
Did the painter visit Tyria at some point?
Well, now I’m afraid to log in. What if I log in and all the plants start screaming? >.>
What if the screaming also replaced the Character Selection Screen’s music?

The day that all the plants of tyria screamed at once is the day that my dream comes to fruition…
Stop smoking them and they’ll stop screaming.
Every sylvaris head would explode
Sorry about reviving an older thread, but after both this recent article and this recent article, it’s strangely become more relevant than even I could’ve imagined!
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
ANet may give it to you.

Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
In a strange twist, could the screaming plants somehow be used against Mordremoth?

The game would most likely crash from too many sound effects playing at once. Well, that’s the logical answer. Other answer is it would prove God wrong and thus undo all creation.
Well, other than scenery, the only plants you see around that are not corrupted or nightmare court are treants.
Aloes, thorns, ibogas, jaracandas, drake plants, walking bushes, guardians…

You don’t see any of those sentient plants anymore. Not much of anything to cry.

Not being able to take a flamethrower to aloes is something to be upset about. Trying to do a Vanquish with three or four of them sitting in a cluster all healing each other was infuriating. Is that what Menders are? Easily interruptable dragon aloes?
People with volume dials that go to eleven may experience sudden, explosive, spontaneous combustion.
If the screaming happened on Halloween, would Mad King Thorn be able to use it to help mask his travels among the different parts of Tyria?
What effect (positive and/or negative) would this have on the world in-game if it happened, not to mention the effect on your speakers/headsets?
Would the effect lessen if all the trees and other plants only screamed intermittently rather than all at once?
Since GW2 is already polluted with nearly everything playing a sound effect or speaking, I usually have my speakers turned off anyway.
Shrieking plants you say? But what causes the shrieking?
And then right after the plants are finished shrieking, you hear Trahearne’s voice boom across Tyria, “This won’t end well.”
Did they open a home depot in The Grove?
