Are there any cool armor sets that look awesome for a male charr mesmer? I can’t find anything and it feels like charrs have been forgotten.

Hm, I don’t have a male charr mesmer, I can look at the look I have for my fem though and see how it works.

Now, you mean Mix n’ Match? Or just one armor set?

Mix n match would be cool but really just anything that looks good!

I have a male charr necro and he uses the Arah pants and a mix of other stuff. The Arah pants don’t clip with the tail. Perhaps dyed a more “mesmer-y” color it’ll work for you?

I’d suggest opening up the wardrobe and trying on different pieces to find something that you like. There are only a few options for pants that have accommodations for your tail so I’d start there and when you find one you like move to the chest and find one that works well with what you’ve picked.

Have you already tried playing Dress Up with the bank wardrobe? That’s how I usually find my armor combos. My charr ele (who is female but has the same model as male for a vast majority of armor skins) used the Monocle, Aetherblade chest, CoE legs, and various different gloves/boots/shoulders. I thought it looked pretty darn neat. Right now, she’s just using the heritage armor, which also looks pretty good on her.

If you want a pair of pants without a “skirt” there is one dungeon pants that is pants only on a Charr. No skirt at all. It’s called the Ascolonian Performer pants.

I like how it is quite tight fitting and not too flowy/robe-like. My charr is quite a chunky fellow, so I didn’t want him to appear even more huge with something that loosely drapes over him. I also like the dye fields and the appearance overall- the way the gloves and knees are (to me) seem quite charr-like and spikey.

On my Charr Ele I run the following -

Vigil Honor Circlet

Vigil’s Honor Leggings

Charr mesmer? That’s a tough one. Typically mesmers lean towards the frillier side of looks, which looks horrible on a Charr (versus human female for example).

I have a Charr necro that looks pretty baller with mix-n-match gear. But it’s very necro-y, so I don’t think it would help with your problem.

So I guess…I guess I probably shouldn’t have really made this post then.

Main weapons are eternity bifrost bolt quip and Rodgort depending on what build I’m using.

Yeah this is a nice set for Charr too. I use the top on my charr necro (at least I did at one point in time)

Dont know about mesmers specifically, but im pretty happy with my necro at the moment.

for a long time i just accepted the kittening skirts but was never quite content. then i switched to the embroidered pants and kind of build the rest of his looks around that.

As for the rest:
I always use the invoker’s boots.
For the chest, there are quite some options. Winged and Dry bones fit both very well.
Arms and Head are easy.

Alternatively, the entire heritage set looks pretty good.

I have seen some rather cool light armor on charrs though I’ve never tried my hand at making a Mesmer charr (my two mesmer a are sylvari/asura). I do have a charr necro though whose look I adore. <3

My ele is using the Ascalonian Performer pants and Heritage top also. I love the clean, uncluttered look on her. For the gloves, I used the Hellfire gloves so her hands drip fire. Appropriate on an ele, I thought.

I’m trying some love to my seven females and one male charr alts as much I can fix the good looks with a fashion. I know it is hard but the color furs and the gears are great mixes that never think of. So, Here is my charr male elementalist. I love him a lot.

Hat: Magus Shroud (T3)

Chest: Trickster’s Vest
Gloves: Lawless Gloves
Pant: Trickster’s Leggings
Shoe: Forgeman Shoes

I actually don’t like Charr in pants. Skirts are a problem too, running wise, but somehow the pants always look like stuffing an animal into human clothes. Loincloths might work? Or strapped on armor bits with lots of fur showing?

Anyway, my Charr ele looks pretty good in low-end cultural, imo:

I reccomend flame legion pants-cof armor, didn’t give gloves and boots a whole lot of attention, think I went with cultural top and head.

I don’t like them in pants either, but I dislike them more in skirts or in something that hangs in front of their legs. I never could shake the feeling their claws are going to get tangled up in that cloth while running and they are going to go ingloriously nose first into the ground. So pants it is, for me.
